These are the best over the counter ones I've found and I've tried a lot of them that were not so good. These are almost as good as the several thousand dollar ones I once had from a hearing aid place that quit working. The fine print instructions are hard to read. They do have a recessed volume thats hard to see and can only be adjusted with the tiny screwdriver that comes with them. When I first tried them I thought they were 0 star because they were too loud and I couldn't find a volume adjustment. After making out the hard to read instructions and adjusting the volume they are a 5 star.

At 86 , I’m not easily impressed, but Fitpad has greatly exceeded my expectations. After a modest amount of trial and error, I found the right dome and the right level of amplification for me. My wife and I can now watch TV comfortably in the same room. I can hear the signals from my exercise bike and from my digital camera. Hurrah!I have been surprised at the level of amplification of my own voice and of extraneous sounds in the room. I went out to a crowded restaurant last night. Without Fitpad it was noisy; with Fitpad it was LOUD. I have reduced the amplification to the minimum required to maintain the benefits. Hopefully I am finding the optimum level with experience.My only disappointment is in the instructions. This is my first experience with hearing aids (amplifiers). I was expecting more than English translations of the Chinese captions under five photographs. My initial reaction was that I would be returning the device untried. Still I have to admit. The pictures and captions were adequate since I am using the device successfully. If you are not technically savvy, here are some observations that may help.Check the battery compartment first. My unit came with an installed battery but it still had the paper insulation barrier on it. This must be peeled off to send power from the battery to the amplifier.Look at the pictures carefully. I initially inserted Fitpad upside down. It still worked, but I had trouble eliminating squealing. Right side up I could reduce the size of the dome and eliminate squealing except while installing or removing the device.My first battery lasted only two days. I now suspect this was because I put the device in the plastic storage box when I went to bed. I discovered on the second night that the devise squeals when I close the lid. Apparently, closing the lid initiates the feedback responsible for squealing. I presume that Fitpad squealed all night the first night draining the battery. In any event, I am now into the third day of my second battery. I suggest you avoid storing the device in a closed container while the battery is engaged.Bottom line I am optimistic enough that Fitpad will solve my hearing problems economically to prompt me to order a 60 pack of number10 batteries.

I bought a left and right. The left fits perfectly, I can wear it for 12 hours, the right not even an hour no matter which cup I try. The instructions are terrible, they don't even let you know which is left and right, no markings on the units or the box. Packaging is quite good. When you get the volume up to where you want it then when you insert in the ear the feedback until it is seated is unbearable. Until I get really adept at the install nothing I can do there. They have a lot of volume, too much actually, I have mine turned up 1/4 turn from off and its loud. The amplification is higher in the high range, plastic, paper, scratching noises, even the fridge are now loud, car wind noise is much too high, forget about driving with the window down. Voices are strong, but not enough, music sounds awful in the car, really ruins it, but if your car is quiet you can turn it down, my truck is not quiet. Comes with 2 batteries each where others say they cannot ship with batteries. Comes with 6 cones for different ear canals and a little brush to clean it which has a battery opener on the other end. Controls are tiny but they have to be, these are so small that not one person has seen it in my ear. I work construction so instead of wearing earplugs now I have to use full coverage head phones to keep me safe. I thought the feedback in the headphones would not be good but it does not happen, yeah.

i love this hearing aid but i guess i am allergic to it because it itches and makes my ear hurt. i am so disappointed because it is so cute and works so well. i thought the itching might stop but no luck so far. it seems i can not use anything that is made with petroleum pruducts.

Am ordering a second pair to keep on standby. .i.am a navy vet..female. RN..the navy gave me a pair of hearing aids ..I think to appease me because I lost my hearing in a plane crash..well the one's they gave me quit working after three days....in frustration I went online and decided to try these. ..they are much better! !!!!

I love the clearness of this. I can hear my granddaughters now & they don’t have to talk loud. It’s comfortable & easy to clean. Just bought a 2nd one because I didn’t want to have to go without if it should quit or not work right.

I got this for my mom for her birthday. When I whispered to her, across the room, that I loved her - and she heard me - it brought tears to our eyes!

What be better if it was usb chargeable. Difficult to put batter in and volume control hard to adjust.
