Nothing is ever perfect, but this isn't far off
It's true - nothing is ever going to be completely perfect. How could it be?If it was possible, I'd have chosen 4.5 stars. As it is, I had to choose five, because four feels unfair. That's because this little speaker, wrapped in its sleek, understated and unapologetically solid shell, does a good job of being almost perfect. We got off to a bad start. I don't know what the problem was. Maybe it needed a run in. Perhaps I placed it in a bad spot, or I sat too close. Whatever, when I fired it up and hit play on Bonobo's Break Apart, something sounded slightly off. The bass was a bit flat, the highs too airy and the mids didn't punch like I know they should. Not to be deterred, I shifted things around and switched (some might say unfairly) to Aphex Twin's Ageispolis. There's a bass line that never sounds flat. And it didn't. It didn't sound great either. But that's a tough tune for a lot of speakers, so it's hard to expect this little unit to cope at such a young age.A few more tunes and a couple of positional shifts later and things started to pick up.Maybe it was just weary from the journey. Or perhaps it needed to flush itself though with some soundwaves. Whatever the reason, Metronomy's Trouble is currently purring softly through the grills. The bass is firm and full. The highs clear and pronounced. And those mids are popping with a delicious punch. As others have said, the app isn't great. But then, it doesn't get in the way.The speaker isn’t particularly portable (if, by portable you mean you can wang it in a bag and lug it around all day). But the leather handle holds firm and you can move it from room to room as you go about your day.The short version of this is, the speakers sound sublime and the whole thing looks and feels like it's been designed and built with love. And for me, that's just about perfect.

Great product
4.5 star if it was possible...Only drops half a point as it would be nicer to have a couple more pre sets, but not a big problem.Great speaker. Powerful Hi fidelity sound from small wireless unit is amazing, (I have hi fi seperates and floor standing speakers in the lounge and the quality is comparable)Really fills a small-medium room. Haven't had it much higher that half volume yet and that is very loud and clear.I have read some negative reviews about connectivity. We have a sky max hub and it connects very easily and never drops out so I guess it's a case of you need decent WiFi and equipment.I was also worried about not being able to get BBC radio as it does not have Chromecast and tune in radio does not support BBC, however there is an app , internet radio, that does have BBC radio so no problem there. The app also has bad reviews, but I have had no problems with it. Took 5 minutes to set up favourite radio channels onto pre sets (6 music for the win)Have also set one preset linked to my Spotify saved songs, so it picks a random song which is good because it means you rediscover songs you have forgotten about, and then can open Spotify and turn off shuffle if you want to listen to more .Good value for money especially as it was reduced by £40 when I brought it.

Brilliant Sounding Wireless Speaker
The sound when playing music is superb and this speaker is great at any volume. It has a really sweet sound, for such a relatively small package, and manages to deliver a dynamic sound with a punchy baseline, whilst still sounding pure and natural. It is an attractively designed and solidly built speaker as well, although possibly a bit too heavy if you’re looking for something to carry around in your bag, but it’s great at home or on the desk.

Great sound let down by faulty batteries
I am now returning my second C3 speaker within a year, as the battery (I assume) has failed on both units, despite keeping them on the charger when not in use. This is not a battery running down, the units just die after coming off the charger, making them useless as portable speakers. This is a shame, as the sound quality is excellent, and the high maximum volume is great for outdoors. I've seen other complaints about the wireless app, but this worked flawlessly for me, as did the Bluetooth. I really like the design too, but the fundamental battery flaw is a big problem unless you only plan to use the speakers when plugged in.

Not Impressed
The unit (I Know) held inside a beautiful sound experience, but after waiting patiently for 2.5 hour for it to charge. I spent another 3 hours going through the process of connecting it to Wi-fi, when really I just wanted to pair it by blue tooth ( it wouldn't let me) . It refused to operate as a blue tooth speaker and remained stuck on Wi-Fi mode and still did not allow my phone to play music through it.If ever I am offered a free Audiopro speaker, I will only take it if I'm paid to.NOT IMPRESSED.
