Chris never disappoints!
Lately been busy settling in a new city and my first book has been obviously a @chriscarterbooksofficial 🖤 🤍"Gallery of the Dead" by Chris Carter. An absolute 5 ⭐️ read! This novel is a gripping and unrelenting journey into the depths of darkness. This installment of the Robert Hunter series catapults readers into a world where the boundaries between good and evil blur, and the pursuit of justice takes center stage.Carter's writing is razor-sharp, and his ability to craft a suspenseful narrative is nothing short of exceptional. The plot is an intricate web of gruesome murders, mind-bending puzzles, and a relentless chase to catch a serial killer who operates on a chillingly different level. As the story unfolds, readers will be drawn into a world where every page oozes with tension and intrigue. What truly sets "Gallery of the Dead" apart is Carter's knack for delving deep into the minds of his characters. Detective Robert Hunter is a complex and compelling protagonist, and the psychological aspects of the narrative make this thriller all the more riveting. Carter doesn't shy away from the darkness that lurks within both the killer and the investigator, making for a thought-provoking and visceral reading experience. This book doesn't hold back on graphic and unsettling scenes, but they serve a purpose in building the story's intensity and showcasing the gravity of the crimes at hand. If you're a fan of crime thrillers that push the boundaries of the genre, "Gallery of the Dead" is a must-read. Chris Carter's storytelling prowess is on full display here, making this novel a spine-tingling, pulse-pounding masterpiece that will keep you up long into the night.Pick this up with a side of Pumpkin Spice Latte 🎃 ☕️

Yet another masterpiece
Carter proves again with a tightly gripped thriller. Gallery of the dead in second to none crime thriller and beats his every single creation. Real page tuner and get emotional at the end but feel the real punch is somewhat missing when it comes to nabbing the killer. Nevertheless a great novel that kept me awake at nights and now I can doze off...

Chris Carter does it again!
Chris Carter never creases to amaze me. Once again he has written a fast-paced and suspenseful thriller with a demented and crazed serial killer whose reason for violence is uncanny. The crime scene at the beginning of the book is as disturbing as any in this series which is a tough act to follow. Chris is a master at making you want to keep reading since his chapters are generally quite short (only a few pages) and almost always end with a cliff hanger. And of course Robert Hunter is such a great character as is his partner Carlos Garcia. I even like Barbara Blake and the other characters who were introduced. If you read this book and liked it, then it's almost guaranteed that you'll enjoy the rest of the books in this series. On the other hand, if you find the violence in this book to be too much for you, than you're probably not meant to be a Robert Hunter fan. It's as simple as that.

Hunter und Garcia - 9. Fall
