I prefer non-plastic items when I store food, that’s why I got these glass jars. They hold a larger capacity than I thought. They fit nicely in my closets without having to rearrange the shelves. I don’t make kombucha but I do make sauerkraut - in which I think the rubber band and the muslin cloth would be beneficial. Being that it’s glass, the jars are a little heavy, but a good thing. I might purchase more of these in the future if I’m in need of glass jars.

I wanted some kind of large glass container because I'm now making my own laundry detergent and needed a big thing to put it in. These big jars even came with rubber bands and a muslin like cloth and labels! Just what I wanted.

Very pleased to find these jars! They are manufactured by the same glass company that made the jars I purchased years ago as part of an overpriced vegetable fermentation kit. My existing lids, airlocks, and weights fit these jars, and these jars easily fit into the refrigerator. I know from experience the jars are sturdy and easy to clean. The gallon size is great for fermenting and/or storing sauerkraut. Recommended.The jars arrived double-boxed with corrugated cardboard dividers and therefore were in perfect condition.

These jars come with a plastic lid. They also come with cloth covers and rubber bands, but don’t use the cloths right out of the box. They are absolute lint shedders. They leave a massive amount of lint everywhere! You don’t want any of that in whatever you’re brewing or fermenting. I haven’t washed mine yet but I’m hoping they’ll be lint-free after washing because it was nice to have them included, along with the lid.

I have not used these jars yet but I was very happy to see, when I unpacked them, that the glass is sturdy and the lids fit well. The packaging was very secure and they arrived in perfect condition. I bought them for making large quantities of tea, and chose them because the description said specifically that you can pour boiling water into them. Just from the feel of the weight of the glass, I think they are going to work fine.

These came unbroken which is a plus!😂I ordered them because during the pandemic fiasco I had to buy 5# of pinto beans and needed to be able to store them. These were perfect! The kids fit and the wide mouth made it so easy to fill them. I thought the price was pretty good because they can be expensive. Love them!

My daughter made Concord grape wine with our grapes and she needed containers to store the wine in for it to sit and age. These work great! I was afraid they would be thin glass but they aren't. They are sturdy.
