31 Beautiful fashions inspired by the Art Deco period
The media could not be loaded. This book has great coloring opportunities of Art Deco inspired fashions of the 1920's, 1930's and even the early 1940's. The clothing designs have had a lot of detail added that were not probably part of the clothing of the period but which make it even more fun to color. The designs are by artist Ming-Ju Sun who has a number of coloring books on various fashions in the Dover family of product. Some of the designs are have intricate parts but I don't think I will have to use my magnifying lamp for this book. I've included pictures of both fully colored samples that are printed in the coloring book. There are 31 designs in this coloring book. As with all of the Creative Haven books that I have used in the past, these are on a bright white page that is a fairly heavy stock. The designs are printed on one side of the page only and the edges of each page have good perforations which make it easy to remove from the book. All of my gel pens and markers bleed through on Creative Haven books and this book is no different. I use freezer paper in between the sheets (if I am keeping it in the book) or under the page if I remove it from the book. You can also put sheets of heavy stock paper in between if you don't have freezer paper handy.I have been coloring adult color books as a way to relieve the stress of the day. I love fashion, too, so coloring in this book is even more fun. It reminds me of when I was a child coloring in my old Barbie color books. That alone, makes the time fly by and my stress lift.

Fun and bold, but relatively easy designs
I really like this book, which surprised me because I am not into fashion. It's only my second coloring book. The first one was of geodesigns, which I found VERY boring. The designs here are Art Deco florals, ignoring the more dramatic color blocking and two-toned designs that were also popular during the Art Deco period. The drawings are not very difficult, but I found my color pencils to be useless on the extremely tiny flowers and leaves of the ditsy prints. I had to either use gel pens on these, or simply ignore them. I colored 5 drawings straight away and I intend to complete them all. I might cut them out and put them on patterned backgrounds into my glue book journal or even in my napkin journal.

Another great Creative Haven coloring book
Love the Creative Haven coloring books. There is nothing more relaxing and enjoyable then coloring. I especially enjoy the various fashion books and this one was no exception. Very pleased with the designs. I use both color pencils and gel pens and both work well on these pages. Recommend this one if you enjoy hours of pleasurable coloring.

Coloring to relax
Great coloring book and highly detailed; my hand sometimes gets tired from doing all the coloring. However, it is very relaxing and I enjoy coloring the various styles of clothing from the 1920's. I love that each page has a blank backside so that no color shows through to the other coloring page(s). So, far I have been using only colored pencils, but plan to experiment using water-colored pencils and artbars.

Period Piece
I enjoy this series of coloring books because the pictures are fairly large without all the little tiny details that most coloring books seem to have. They work well with crayons as well as colored pencils. The person who drew these did a nice job researching the fashions of each era.

Very Nice Pictures
I like the pictures in this book, but am a little puzzled as to why they would show winter outfits with flowers in the background.
