Arrived well packaged which was clearly intended to protect the delicate nature of the item. A little slip inside repeats that fact and offers a replacement if it does arrive with any damage. It doesn't seem a risk that you will receive a bad product.The drawers are slightly on the small side but this was anticipated. If you are looking to put some small chocolates in each day, a small handful of sweets or some little items then this will be perfect. If you are looking to put toy cars in here or something similar, they will not fit (unless you're looking for some kind of retro micromachines gifts or something...)Now to fill the drawers... any ideas appreciated!

I'm really surprised that this lovely product hasn't got better overall reviews than it has. It's true that the drawers are small, so you have to plan the contents accordingly, and I can see that some customers did not receive their calendar in entirely proper order. That didn't happen to me, and maybe it is an issue that has been resolved. But also... this product is *beautiful*. I bought it for my Mum, who is extremely hard to buy for, and she was moved to tears, describing it as an 'heirloom'. I've put in nice notes for each day of Advent, folded very small and decorated, which might be a good idea if you are struggling with the size of the drawers. Very good value, and a great part of any Christmas.

Just got two of these (different designs) for the kids this christmas, delivered today. Thought about making something similar but honestly you'd struggle to make anything as well decorated as these. Yes, the drawers are a bit small but the dimensions for them are on the listing so not in any way unexpected. The best part for me is that instead of some tatty paper calendar, these look fantastic and i can fill with whatever (small items) i want, specific for each kid. brilliant. Mine arrived on next day delivery completely undamaged, very happy.

The only thing I didn't like too much was that the drawers weren't even big enough to get a sweet in! So I had to get creative about how to let my wife know what her gift for the day was!

Amazing how it looks and the quality of the build is great too, will last several Christmases. Now the only challenge is to fill it.

Wanted to get my son an advent I could put bits in of decent quality. Something to avoid the annual Lego or lindt calendar which is £20+ spent on about £3 worth of chocolate or plastic.Yes, this fits the bill! Buy this! I'm really impressed with the quality, size and look of this advent. All perfect and intact and with correct drawers etc. Really well packed too despite the fragility.Well worth the money!

I bought this as a Christmas keepsake for my daughter.. which I know she will enjoy for years. It looks gorgeous unlit but when you flick the switch it’s the most wonderful Christmas centrepiece which gives a magical glow as night time falls.I know she’s going to love it 😊

The item is lovely to look at and very pleasing on the eye.However, as an advert calendar disappointing. The draws for putting chocolates inare too small. Couldn't get a Quality/Rose (Others are available) sweet into the drawershad to cut them in half. They need to be bigger!

This well built craft is a delight. The design is as if it came from an Alpine wood shop. The drawers are large enough for good chocolates.

Although this Advent Calendar is delicate, it is very well made and just lovely to display over the Christmas Season. I was not disappointed when I removed this article from it's box. It is exactly what I was looking for......something with a little "Old World" charm.

Very well put together loved the purchase

I wanted an advent calendar for my toddler that could be reused and become part of a holiday tradition; this provided that and so much more. These calendars are incredibly beautiful. My toddler begs us to take them down so he can stare at them and admire the lights, buildings, and figures. The goodies in the drawers are less exciting than the calendars themselves, which are an absolute delight.I ended up with two because I was unsure which one I wanted. I figured I'd get both, see which one worked best for us, & send the other back. When they arrived they were so much more beautiful and functional AND decorative than I'd hoped that I decided to keep both. I regret nothing.The drawers on the shooting star one are quite small, but still large enough for small coins, tiny toys or a "Hershey's kiss" sized candy. The drawers on the other one are significantly larger.The calendars look fragile but are well put together. My toddler has explored every bit of every figurine 500x already and everything has stayed intact -- so far -- but some care definitely has to be used. They wouldn't survive rough handling for long.. They were packed well, and I kept the boxes for storage, as I hope to enjoy these for many, many years to cone.These calendars are pure Christmas magic and a delight to behold.

Very beautiful piece, lots of details, but incredibly fragile. No space for almost anything but a note inside of each box. No chocolate fits (no ferrero no mini milka)
