Brilliant upgrade
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. When decided I wanted yet another wildlife camera for my garden, I immediately looked at Victure, as I already own 2 of their HC200s - which are great cameras. Then I saw a new upgraded version, with a higher quality camera - so I had to give that a try.If i'm honest, I was expecting the same camera, just with more pixels, but boy was I surprised when I opened the camera up.It's all new, with a vastly improved design that makes it even easier to use.Nothing has been overlooked in the redesign. It's easier to put in the batteries, turn it on and off, insert the memory card and the new buttons to control the interface are fantastic. The camera is very sensitive - can easily pick up a mouse moving from 5-6 feet away. Plus it is incredibly fast. Only 0.6 seconds from detecting motion to taking a picture or starting the video. Can't speak highly enough of this camera or the service they give. After purchase, they sent me an email asking me to send them a copy of my Amazon order, and they would extend the warrany to 36 months - free of charge.

Very good camera
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. I've been using this camera in my garden for a few weeks now and I'm very happy with it! I bought it mainly to film birds and mice but have also caught my dogs digging and the neighbours cats. I thought when buying I'd only use it at night, but I leave it out for 24hrs then check the footage the next day - daytime footage is very clear and the night vision is great, I have a CCTV camera that catches the trail camera and so have seen the range of the IR light, it pretty much lights up my whole garden so doesn't miss much. I use it with EBL AA Rechargeable Batteries (search amazon) and it lasts a few days/nights without needing recharged, just need to clear the footage on the SD. I would say the video quality is better than the stills, stills seem overly sharp.

Great upgrade on the HC200
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. I had already purchased the HC 200 which was very good value for money however the picture quality just wasn’t quite right for me as I like to process photos. So I thought I would buy the HC 300 and I’m very glad I did.The picture quality is much better in both video and photo modes. It is also of a much better design. The camera is a lot easier to work with especially determining what you have in your frame as you now can see on the screen what the lens is pointing at so you know what you’re going to be filming. It is also a lot easier to open with two large clasps instead of three smaller ones which were a little fiddly. I have not had much luck capturing anything overnight yet in my garden so can’t really comment about the night shots I have included one with this review which just shows my empty Garden. I have also included some other photos of the birds in my garden which is one of the main reasons I wanted the camera. These are much better and now I can work with them easier to obtain a better quality as I can also do with the videos, again I have included one with this with you for you to see. If I had any anything negative to say about the HC 300 over the HC 200 is that I think the microphone was better than the 200 I think this was mainly due to the fact that you could alter its sensitivity or loudness whereas with the HC 300 it’s either on or off. I hope this review is of help to you

Super trail camera
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. Initially I purchased the HC200, which was fine but decided I wanted something with a higher spec and the HC300 seemed to fit the bill. I bought it in order to get higher quality images of a Badger that suddenly started to visit overnight at the bottom of my garden.A whole raft of settings have been included which, whilst seeming to make it complicated, in fact, with persistence, help fine tune the camera to give the exact results required. There are too many features to go through each one but there are a few worthy of a mention. One of the key features is the ability to set up the viewing area exactly as you want it prior to closing the cover. The increased number of IR LEDs (38) makes for superior illumination for night-time images and videos. An added benefit is the fact that they are adjustable which allows for an even brighter image - bare in mind though that this setting can reduce the battery life.Another welcome feature is the fact that the PIR sensor is also adjustable - ensuring that a good range is available for detecting small and large animals in varying temperatures.Worthy of a special mention is customer support. Clearly they value their customers and on the couple of occasions I had to communicate with them they replied quickly, were very friendly and resolved my queries. If only more companies were the same!I wanted to power the camera from a DC supply, rather than batteries, as it's position is adjacent to an external socket. Unfortunately, the quality of the external DC supply socket is poor - it is both flimsy and unreliable. The merest touch on the cable is sufficient to disconnect the power. It would benefit from being a larger 5.5mm socket. Also, a minor criticism would be the microscopic text in the instruction manual - surely there's no need for it to be so tiny!Very satisfied with the performance of the HC300. Gives remarkable results for a trail camera that fits anyone's budget - highly recommended.
