GBX Men's Sesto Boat Shoe

So I loved the shoes the first week I wore them, but not too long after, I got caught in a rainstorm. These are advertised as boat shoes, so I figured no big deal, they can handle water. I got home and left them in the sun all day to dry like I would any normal boat shoe, but I put them back on and they were sponge-squishy and still basically soaked on the insole only.I removed the insole (if you can call it that) and found that it was a wafer thin layer of foam which mostly is there to adhere the insole lining to. Beneath that, the support of the shoe is several layers of red paper, like a large block of cardstock cut into shoe-shape.If you get these 'boat' shoes sufficiently wet or step in a puddle, they are ruined permanently and the insole must be removed, the pulpy paper scraped out, and then replaced by an aftermarket insole.Price is indicative of quality.

These shoes are comfortable and look very nice. I would suggest adding 1/2 size to the size you order, since they are a bit snug (but not tight). They are very light with flat heels, great for getting around quickly and easily These are inexpensive, light-duty shoes which I bought to wear around the house and do small tasks outside. I wanted something that won't slip or fall apart in damp conditions (we get a LOT LOT LOT of rain). If they last at least six months and I don't slip, I will be very happy. If they last a year, I will bow down and worship them (shoes typically last me less than six months because of the wetness).

The string is thick and long, the picture doesn't show it but you need to do a tie of some sort to deal with the extra length. Kind of detracts from the overall appearance. Otherwise a decent summer shoe, probably good for one season. Color is nice, and they're flat so that may work well for people. One of the two shoes feels tight around the ankle/top of the foot, not like cutting but the tongue is noticeable and not wholly comfortable.

This product isn't too long lasting might last you 6-12 months depending on how much you wear them, but that is the only reason I give it four stars, Easily the most comfortable shoe I wore in my 19 years in living, the shoe also has lots of air flow so you don't sweat as much! Love this product :)

Are comfortable, and looks good, the material made its not my favorite but i am very comfortable using them, anyone who wants to buy it, do it with not fear.

I wear these shoes to work every day (business casual) and I love them. I got the brown version and the color seems pretty close to the product pictures. They are very comfy and lightweight. The only downside I've noticed is that my pinky toe bulges out a bit on the side of the shoe, but maybe my feet are just wide - it doesn't seem to affect the comfort anyway.

I love GBX shoes, I wear them every day for work (zip X). These are lightweight and the sole has this stitching on them that looks really cool. I get compliments on them and many people ask where I got them. Awesome buy for great price!

The rubber shoe laces are horrible.
