I ordered this product as part of an experiment in starting seeds indoors. It was fairly easy to assemble (top part was a bit difficult to snap into place, but I was able to complete assembly). I planted tomatoes, spinach & zinnia seeds in a seed starting kit and after just two days already had seedlings up! I am impressed with the brightness of the light and so happy to be able “mini-garden” in my house during the winter! I do wish it was a bit bigger so I could start more plants, but for the price, I am very happy with it.

This is such a great product. I previously tried to start a window herb garden in my kitchen but I don’t have a window that gets enough sunlight. My herbs either didn’t start at all or failed to thrive. I purchased one of these grow lights and my seeds are doing so well that I bought another one! It’s very pretty and light enough to sit on my window mounted Veg Ledge. I especially like the automatic timer feature (so I don’t have to remember to turn it in and off.) The only thing keeping me from giving it 5 stars is how hard it is to assemble... I don’t have a rubber mallet and I eventually had to sand down some of the inserts so they would fit into the mating holes. Once it’s together, though, it’s a great product!

Not so easy to snap together as the tabs were a wee bit larger than the slots on one portion. And since this feels like light fiber board, you really can’t force in place.Once together, though, it works great. Started my herb garden in the spring and transferred outside once the weather was right. Highly recommend as a great gardeners tool for the price. And it takes up so little counter space that I will be able to move herbs back indoors this fall.

Easy to assemble. Only one timer setting, 16 hours. I was happy to see that, another model I have has three timer settings and selecting one is a matter of trial and error. This unit doesn't seem like the sturdiest assemblage in the world, but it does what I need it to do.

This is perfect for my desk. I get a great little are for my plants and some extra light for my desk area. It's a very sleek clean design.This was such a pain to put together! The parts do not fit together well at all!! What should have taken 2-3 minutes to put together took 20 plus minutes of pure frustration. Once you basically body slam the pieces together and hopefully don't break it, then you are good to go.

For the price it works really well, it’s made out of some pretty cheap material but does the job and looks nice. Wouldn’t put any pots on it that are too heavy. Mean for spices and small plants. It was a little difficult to finagle together but with a little elbow grease I did it. Excited to see my plants grow with the hep of this light!!

This is a clever idea for fresh herbs in the kitchen. I choose the tall model because I anticipate the plants will get large.When it arrived I was not able to assemble it because the inserts were too large for the holes. I called the vendor who said they would ship me another. I asked that they check first to be sure it would fit together. The customer service was excellent. When the new one arrived the fit was better. It was still a bit difficult to assemble but it went together with the help of a rubber mallet.My seedlings are doing very well with it. I am pleased because the design is nice and looks good on the kitchen counter.

The assembly is a little tough as some reviewers have mentioned - there's a trick to it, though, (according to my husband), which is holding the tabbed pieces at an angle, rocking them into place, and then pushing the pieces together firmly. The instructions don't indicate this, and I think it would be a useful addition to the otherwise clear and concise documentation. That's the only reason I docked one star for assembly - if we hadn't figured that out, this thing would have been a huge pain to put together.The actual product is great. I wish there were an option for a slightly wider version so I could get a few more pots directly under the light, and the raised bottom feels like a bit of wasted space for plants that could get a little bit more height before having to be trimmed back. For a very affordable countertop plant light, though? I have absolutely no complaints.
