excellent baby monitor
These monitors are my favorite. As a stay-at-home mom of 3 with one on the way, I like everything about these. I've purchased 3 of them, and my oldest finally went out (after 3 years of use, including being unplugged overnight, going with us on multiple trips, and being used for multiple naps a day - it was in my nursery). Of course I wish it had lasted longer, but I am satisfied with that longevity.Essential features in a baby monitor, in my mind, include...-the ability to mute (I can't believe they make monitors that don't - trust me, you want to mute it even if it is just for the minute the baby is crying while you are going to get them, if not, say, long enough to go to the bathroom first, etc.)-sound up and down - I am a light sleeper, I need it very quiet, and I can still hear even our white noise through the monitor, but I like to turn it up when, say, taking a shower or watching tv-a video screen (my babies are quiet when they wake up, I like to see if their eyes are open, and I like to know if something happened, like a foot caught in the crib wall, that requires my attention)-a good long charge - these last well over 12 hours (I run sound only for most of that time, no screen), though they take a bit to charge up after, often longer than the hour or two before the first nap, but catch up later in the day-a reliable charger, preferably not a usb one, those seem to break easily-decent range. Mine can reach a few houses away, especially if a house itself is not in the way. I can easily take it down the street to check my mailbox and stay to chat with a neighbor while knowing the baby is still sleeping soundly. I cannot leave the neighborhood, which is not a bad thing.-not terribly expensive-personally, I like the walkie-talkie option, I use it to talk to my toddlers sometimes, saying such things as, "Ok, it is time to lay down and sleep now" or "I am coming up to get you now, please wait patiently"This monitor has all of these features, plus more, like music (including different sound options, all of which last for 30 minutes, and continue with the parent monitor muted so you don't have to listen to it), temperature warnings (good to know if the heat/cool in baby's room goes out), and temperature on the screen. I personally appreciate that this is a closed camera, no video is being tracked or able to be hacked. The one thing I remember wishing for when I first got this monitor was a clip, to hook into a belt loop or something. My previous monitor had that feature and I liked being able to bring the monitor with me into different rooms without having to think about it. Perhaps it would be nice to have a battery in the camera, so you aren't woken up for any power outages, but I haven't minded that too much, power outages wake me up indefinitely anyway. If you are looking for a monitor, I highly recommend this one. After 3 kids and 3 different monitors tried, this is the only one I own now.

Mama's New Best Friend! Perfect Screen-Size, Great Price, Durable, See all expressions!
We just brought home our little bundle of joy, and you better believe we needed to keep an eye on her—because, honestly, what is she up to in that crib? Enter the baby monitor with a camera and audio that has quickly become my best friend!First off, that screen is like the perfect size—big enough to see every adorable expression on my baby’s face but small enough to fit in my hand while I make my midnight snacks. Yes, I've named it “The Snack Monitor,” because let’s be real; I need my snacks after those sleepless nights. The night vision feature is a "AAAAH! Miracle". It’s like having my very own baby CCTV—except way cuter and without the drama of security footage. I can see her clearly even in the dark and I won't lie, there's something hilarious about seeing her in infrared, like a tiny ghost having an existential crisis over her lost paci.I also appreciate the two-way audio—perfect for when I want to offer sage advice such as, “Go to sleep, little one,” and she promptly ignores me. It’s like a mini parenting seminar from afar! And don’t get me started on the lullabies—it’s either they soothe her to sleep…or they wake her up because she’s convinced it’s party time! The built-in temperature sensor is a bonus. I want to make sure she’s not too hot or too cold—nobody likes a cranky baby! Plus, this monitor works without Wi-Fi, which means I won’t unintentionally stream my baby’s antics to the entire internet. It’s all secure—my little secret.Overall, I’d say this monitor is like the best bouncer at a club: always watching, letting only the best vibes through, and keeping out the chaos. If you want to keep a close eye on your little one without the tech nightmares, this baby monitor is definitely a solid choice! Detects Motion, Great Value, Features Galore, Total Durability!

Buy it! Best baby monitor :)
Just re-ordered a new one 2 1/2 years later! I love this thing. It’s the best! I originally had someone buy me the owlet camera and while yes, as a first time mom, it was great to know my baby’s breathing but it would ALWAYS disconnect from my WiFi every time I closed the app. So annoying! Especially for something so freaking expensive! Anywho, desperate for something, I ordered this $30 dollar camera that I didn’t expect the best outcome. I also ordered this because, let’s face it, I was paranoid about the whole access to the internet thing with weirdos all over hacking into baby monitors :( Anywho, it still works 2.5 years later but now the sound is going out a bit and that’s okay! I always have it on, my kid has dropped it plenty. It’s practically always on the charger and yet, still great despite the speaker going slightly out. Thanks, Vtech! Signed, one grateful momma 🤍

Good, relatively affordable baby cams!
Great product. Wanted something secure that couldn’t be hacked as easily (ya know the scary world we live in). Does have a feature to talk through the camera. Picture quality is decent tho not as great at night (it’s a little fuzzy but most baby cams are). Still able to see my kiddo and make sure hes doing good.Sound quality is great! Also we love the lullaby feature to play some soothing piano lullaby (his favorite is the row row row your boat one) which helps calm him down to sleep. Music auto turns off at 30 minutes unless you change it.Do wish the cord to plug it in was a little longer. But wall mounting is super easy!
