Tools for Tantra

Harish Johari is one of my top favourite authors whose works I enjoy as most contain unusual but true facts useful for those seeking knowledge in fields he's written about. He is lauded by those who knew him as one of the top tantrikas and mystics during his lifetime.

It is good book for human being to use improve their mental and physical. It is not pure religion even persons apply other religions can use it for improve their mental and physical.

"Tools for Tantra" is one of the most comprehensive books ever written about this often misunderstood subject. With so many people out there claiming to "teach" Tantra, its important that the potential student/practitioner gets to know all if the concepts and methodology correctly. This book is well written and has wonderful illustration that accompany the copy. "Tools for Tantra" is a "must read" for all students of Tantra. I highly recommend it.

This is an excellent book for those who want to study Tantra and Yantras. In depth and thorough, I highly recommend.

Tools for Tantra goes deep. Use this guide to understand the psychic effects of Tantra, for practice of yantra and mantra meditation and a greater appreciation of the symbolism and powers represented by and imbued through the Tantric gods and goddesses.

I recently started practicing vajra Yogini and find that it helps me a lot, I wanted to learn more and I ordered this book, I find it full of information that I wanted to learn.

This is a great book with wonderful pictures, detailed lists,and important items used in and covers many ritualistic practice for hinduism and buddhism!

The book is very interesting and is chock full of information for those interested in the roots of certain metaphysical practices found in Hinduism. You will get your money's worth.

For practicing tantra though one needs to know a lot more but the basic given by this book must be understood by a serious practitioner. . Tantra is a Great contribution of seers; it can transform a mole to a mountain. Personally I know very very little but a small practice has brought significant changes in me.

Essential book with a lot of comprehensive practical information on drawing/making yantra, using mantra and conducting basic havan. A must have for any intermediate/advanced yoga practitioner.

L'idée de base est louable: réunir sous un même titre de nombreuses bases du tantrisme, à savoir l'auditif avec les mantras et leurs répétitions (japas) à l'aide d'un mala, le visuel avec les yantras, etc. Le tout décliné selon la divinité, mais pas pour chaque aspect, on trouve du Kali, du Shiva, du Gayatri et ainsi de suite. L'ennui c'est qu'en si peu de pages on ne peut tout couvrir et il existe un certain nombre d'erreurs grossières - par exemple la correspondance entre le type de mala (chapelet hindou) et les mantras est fantaisiste. Enfin il règne un certain amalgame entre les pratiques tantriques foncièrement bonnes et l'évocation (non détaillée) de déviances type sortilèges et autres mauvais sorts. Bref, coloré mais confus.
