Beautiful Book
Picked this up to add to our Christmas book collection. My daughter loved it so much she wanted to read the actual book. I’ll have to order that one for next Christmas haha. I’ve read many other books by Glenn Beck and they’re all fantastic!

Snow Globe Magic and Christmas
This reviewer has been fascinated with Snow Globes since I first saw one as a kid. Most people in this nation have probably shared the magic of turning the glass ball over and watching one swirling snowstorm after another. I'm also guilty of having accidentally broken one of these test tube-like globes. Since my children are all grown but no grandkids have yet arrived I'm not certain how age appropriate this picture book really is. My biggest gripe with it was that it was only 40-pages of beautiful illustrations by Brandon Dorman. The story is charming and helps any child better understand what is really important about the Santa Claus Christmas without ever mentioning religion. So if the buyer is looking for a religious aspect, it isn't in this secular child's book other than including Saint Nicholas. It's hard to understand some of the tags associated with this book listing including"Keeping America stupid, indoctrination, brainwashing," etc. The book is a great story for all kids and it transcends politics. The parents reading this kid book to their children will probably enjoy it as much or more than the children. Anyone who seriously criticizes this book is a Grinch who really is trying to steal Christmas. For readers who wish to have a book emphasizing more of the religious meaning of Christmas, this reviewer is currently reading and reviewing Mike Huckabee's excellent book "A Simple Christmas: Twelve Stories That Celebrate the True Holiday Spirit." It's also an inspiring read.

Excellent book!
I read this book to my eight year old daughter and three year old son, last evening just before bed, and they sat spellbound at the pictures and the content. The themes of the book when he was dreaming are things that we have done with them (sledding with dad, making gingerbread houses with mom), and they instantly connected with what the book was about - family is more important than gifts...At the very end of the book, he realizes that giving mom a hug is more valuable than a brand new bike. So, I sent the kids over to mommy to give her a hug, which she really needed at that moment - we have a 9 week old son with an ear infection, and she'd had a long day. Alebeit unrelated to the book, to a degree, it was special for my wife to get a hug from her kids after reading the book!I highly recommend this book! In a very subtle way, it teaches that love is more valuable than any material gain.Oh - I nearly failed to mention, after I read the book to my kids, my 8-year old went to bed, and my 3-year old jumped back in my lap, grabbed the book, and said "Again!" Naturally, I read it again...

A heartwarming story, albeit shorter than I expected.
I received this book promptly in 1 day (rather than the 2-day I got with Prime), and was able to sit down with my wife and read it together to our 6 (almost 7) year old niece. The illustrations are great, and it's written just like any good children's book. I was a little confused after having read reviews for the full-blown book (I didn't really know what pieces of the story to expect), but our niece really got into it, and I hope that we can make it an annual reading tradition.I'm not quite sure that she got the Christmas message, b/c she's a distracted wee lass, but she was intrigued enough to be guessing what was on the next page before we turned it.P.S. We got a call from Grandma on the way home to FL updating us that our niece had asked her to read the book to her a couple more times during the 8 hour drive. Merry Christmas!

My kids loved it!
I bought the "Christmas Sweater: A Picture Book" because I like Glenn Beck. When I read it, I thought it was a nice story, but I wasn't sure if it would click with the kids. When my 7-year old saw the book, he asked his Dad to read it to him. He and my 4 year old daughter listened intently, and when it was finished wanted to hear it again. So I think I was enlisted the 2nd time. Then my 7 year old read it two more times to his sister. This was the first day. We've had it a couple of weeks, and it is still a favorite! We got each child a copy for their "library" - I think some books are worth keeping your whole life as memorials of your childhood, and to share with your own kids. This is a keeper. Thanks Glenn :-)

Good Book
I will start off by saying that if you know Glenn Beck, then you should know what you're getting in any of his books. Fortunately, I am a fan of his. I bought this book because my 2-year-old granddaughter hears me listening to him and yells "Glenn Beck!" I thought this would be a fun book for her. I knew it would be beyond her comprehension level, which it was. It will be good for a 8-10 year old who will understand it better.I recommend it. It's well written and always brings a tear to my eye.

Great Christmas Story
During the month of December, we read a different Christmas story everynight before bed. We always start the month out by reading the True Christmas story found in the book of Luke in the Bible. On that same night we put our our nativity. This was a great book to add to our collection. The illustrations are wonderful, and the story line is a great one- reminding children to be thankful for even the homemade gifts because they we're made with love. Other children's christmas books we love, Bear stays up for christmas, This is the stable, The first Christmas, You can do it Sam, Grinch stole Christmas.

Okay for little kids
I had just read "The Christmas Sweater" and thought this would be terrific from my grandchildren. The eldest is 9 and the youngest is 5. I think they will enjoy this book (at least the younger ones will) but I was hoping it would pack the punch of it's big brother. It doesn't tug at your heart strings as much as the first version but I think youngsters will enjoy it. Pictures are really wonderful.
