Skinfood Natural Argan Oil for Hair, Skin, Nails, Beard and Cuticles, Silk Essence - 100 mL

It is a wonderful product. A small amount of this does go a long way, don’t need a whole lot all at once unless someone has super long hair or a lot of hair to cover. Using this does help make my hair more manageable and also feels soft. there is a scent to this product, not noticeable until it’s in your hands. the smell doesn’t bother me but for someone who is sensitive or does not like a smelly hair product this may not be for you.

I bought this because I recommended to use a "hair essence" by my hair stylist after he found out that I did not use any type of conditioner (he became quite ragey when I told him this).I have thin, fine, dry, limp hair with an oily scalp and when I use conditioner (tried all kinds) or leave in conditioner (I used to use Garnier Fructis leave-in conditioner), my hair becomes a lovely grease ball by the end of the day. Therefore, I had tried to steer clear of all conditioners.(Random note: If conditioners do not make your hair fall out like it does mine, I highly recommend the anti-damage hair rinse by Ryeo. Makes your hair super soft.)Anyways, I bought the Skinfood Argan Oil Silk Hair Essence - mainly because I was sold on the argan oil and because I am a huge fan of the Skinfood brand. I happily towel dried my hair and was immediately slapped in the face by an old lady perfume scent. It smells very cloying and sweet and this almost made me return it. I actually started the return process because of the smell.BUT. I decided to try it out because my hair was getting drier and drier. I felt like I had nothing to lose.To my surprise, after I blow-dried my hair, the weird smell vanished and instead I had a slightly sweet scent coming from my hair and my hair became very soft and manageable. Gone was the horror of wrenching my brush through the ends of my hair.I have been using this over a week now my hair feels wonderful. I would highly recommend this to everyone.

I am not entirely sure if I'll buy it again. At least not yet. Couple of reasons:First off, It's not entirely natural. It has got few chemicals (not very many though) that my Kenra smoothing cream has. At least Kenra smells better.Which brings me to my second point -the smell. When people review that the scent is "grandma-like" I take it with a grain of salt. After all, they've said the same thing about Missha M BB and even the Coty Airspun. I happen to like those two scents. But this, you better believe, smells like proper hair oil. As in 'hair oil- incense stick-sweet flower' smell. And I don't know about others but my smell didn't go away although it was less intense after sometime.But it did leave my hair smooth and silky. So there.So I guess I'll finish the bottle and see if I'll like it as much as their scrub.Update - Amazing! Brought my hair back from the brink.I had nearly ruined my normally well-behaved hair by using a new soap. This stuff rescued my hair back to its normal state. Still smells not great and still has no heat protection (so still minus a star) but I think it is worth buying.

I've been using this for a little over a month and I really like what it does for my hair. I have very fine hair, so often hair oils or butters don't work well for me and make my hair look greasy. This serum is light but very moisturizing. It's not a miracle product, but I've noticed that my hair is softer and shinier when I use it. I apply it all over my hair after showering (except the scalp), or sometimes apply a little bit to dry hair before going out. I don't curl or use a lot of products in my hair, so this really helps define the waves and curls in my hair. It has a sort of sweet scent that fades after an hour or so.

I have coarse, wiry Korean hair. I use this once per week in place of conditioner when showering and the difference is astounding.Also works well as a hold -- I'll apply some on damp hair after showering and blow dry. Keeps volume and frizz under control throughout the day.

This stuff works. Besides having a pleasant smell, it makes my hair calm down (which is no small feat) without looking too oily. I notice a huge difference on the days that I run out the door without using it. I tried comparable Korean hair oils that were about five times the price, and I didn't think they worked any better than this affordable gem. So, I'm pretty much hooked. It also seems to last forever for the price.

Not a fan of the scent. I am sure it's possible this could be a great product for my hair but I can't wear it (even lightly) without a headache. Not for me.

I curly hair that tends to be dry and frizzy, so I have been looking into haircare products and I particularly love the effect that argan oil based products have on my hair, which is why I purchased this hair essence. I applied this to my hair after slightly drying it with a t-shirt and it definitely made a difference. My hair is more defined, softer, and incredibly less frizzy. My curls tend to lose shape quickly, but since using this hair essence they have held their shape much longer. However, I have noticed that the product can weigh my hair down, so while my hair is still damp, I just wrap it in a t-shirt on top of my head (pineapple style) for a while before letting it down to air dry and that helps my hair feel lighter and more voluminous. If you can't tell already, I absolutely love this product and definitely recommend it. (This is the first/only hair essence I have used.)
