Good quality books, nice pictures. Great little set
I bought these to read to my 4 year old daughter. We are both really enjoying them, they bring back lovely memories from my childhood. I thought they might be a bit too far ahead in reading level for my daughter, but she's just loved them up to now. She wakes up in morning having dreamt about moonface and saucepan man. Really magical. The books came well packaged and is a good set. Quick delivery too

Lovely books, not sure about the artwork though
I loved these books as a child and bought them for my student. I don’t like the artwork much, though of course they had to update it. They also changed Dame Slap to Dame snap as well as changing some of the kids’ names. I liked these books a lot and my student likes them too.

Lovely books
Having loved the Faraway Tree series as a child, I bought my daughter the paperback versions at Christmas, and by February we had read all three. She wanted to start reading them again straight away, so I decided to buy her this set, to make it more special. I also bought The Folk of the Faraway Tree separately from another seller on here, also in the same style, so we had all three in hard back and illustrated. The books are beautiful, and larger than I thought they would be (thick annual sized). The larger print makes it easier for us to read them together, and the books are packed with beautiful colour illustrations. Of the three books, The Folk of the Faraway Tree (the green one) has been illustrated by a different artist to these two, which I must admit I prefer slightly. Regardless, these books are gorgeous and I'm so pleased I bought all three. For those unfamiliar with the story, children will love it. It centers around The Faraway Tree, the curious folk who live in it, the magical lands that appear at the top and the various adventures the children have there. Important to mention that the books have been brought up to date and made a little more PC, with more modern names for the children, and scoldings have replaced casual violence! These books were written in the days when beating your children was a popular passtime, so they needed the edit! A joy to read to, or with, your children.

Kids still love Enid Blyton
This arrived the very next day after ordering! I had the 2nd and 3rd books in the series as a child and they were my favourite books for years so I wondered if my 6 year old twin boys would like them too. They are not fluent readers yet so I wanted something to read to them to show them the joy of reading and encourage their desire to read for themselves. We started on the Enchanted Wood and they were instantly hooked. Of course it’s old fashioned but it was old fashioned when I was little too- it doesn’t matter- it’s the way it stirs the imagination. They have been asking me to read several chapters after school and then 1 or 2 or more at bedtime and they are always excited to know what’s going to happen next. It’s very nostalgic for me to read back on the stories I loved as a child and see them experiencing the same emotions the books stirred in me. I’m very glad I bought this.

Returned but great customer service
Book set arrived well before stated time, which was great but unfortunately there was a mix up with what I ordered, I could not of asked for better customer service, the seller was polite and very apologetic which was way above average. The book set that did arrive I can say is in immaculate condition.

The Faraway Tree
Great. Takes me back to my childhood. Bought for my grandchildren. They love listening to the stories and looking at the colourful pictures.

A childhood favourite
Lovely boxed set which I purchased this for my granddaughters 6th birthday in December, as she is now of an age to be able to read it herself. The Magic Faraway Tree was a favourite of mine when I was her age, and for many years to follow, so I hope that she likes it. If not, she can always give it back to me to read to myself!

Beautiful editions
Enid Blyton's stories of the Faraway Tree were my favourites as a child, and my daughters loved them too, reading my old books. I bought these for my 5 year old grandchildren. They probably have a greater appeal for little girls, or for boys who enjoy fantasy. (My grandson prefers pirates and knights.) These are the best of the new editions with attractive pictures, although I have a soft spot for the old black and white line drawings. The cheaper modern edition has very poor illustrations. The text has been updated, removing references to slapping (Dame Slap becomes Dame Snap) and changing Fanny and Bess to Frannie and Beth. Highly recommended.
