High quality steamer that is a snap to set up, super easy to use, wonderfully versatile, and that gets rid of wrinkles fast!
There must have been a scene in some Leave It to Beaver episode that showed June ironing one of Ward’s shirts that forever scarred my young impressionable self: I refuse to iron. The only reason that I even own an iron is because a well-meaning relative (correctly) deduced that my wrinkled clothing meant that I didn’t have an iron, and she took it upon herself to correct that. I tried to make a grilled cheese sandwich on it once. The fact that I’m forever on ironing strike is in direct conflict with the fact that I detest wearing wrinkled clothes. My aversion to ironing trumps my aversion to wrinkles: I had reluctantly resigned myself to being forever wrinkled.Earlier this week the Kazoo Garment Steamer entered my life. I wish I could cue up celestial music to underscore the cosmic importance of that event. This awesome machine doesn’t take up much more space than a traditional ironing board and iron would take, and I get the insanely valuable benefit of NEVER HAVING TO IRON! Now I just hang my clothes on the handy little hanger, plug my Kazoo Steamer in, wait for 40 seconds and smooth the brush over my clothes. Presto! Wrinkles are gone!I love this amazing machine. There is a pole and handle hanger that are removable, but I just leave them attached so that the unit is easily stored and is always just minutes away from being ready to be used. There are neat attachments that came with it including a pants clip, a glove, and a collar board. The manual suggests using distilled water but our tap water isn’t mineral heavy so I just use that and haven’t had any problems at all. Initial set up was a breeze, and using the steamer couldn’t be any easier. I am excited that with the Kazoo I can also steam clean my living room couch and the recliner with the benefit of not having to use any chemicals. It’s so terrific knowing that I’m not only cleaning in the safest manner possible for my family, but I’m also sanitizing to kill any germs or bacteria that could be hiding on our furniture.I received the Kazoo Garment Steamer at no cost during a promotion in exchange for an unbiased review, I love the ease of use, the quick set-up time, the versatility, and I absolutely love wearing wrinkle-free clothes without having to iron! 5 big gold stars for a high-quality steamer that works beautifully.

Great for blends
This works great on other than 100% cotton clothes. Cotton t-shirts and polos do look marginally less wrinkled after a steam but they don't look crisp and cotton pants are slightly wrinkled and limp. Synthetic and silky fabrics do respond extremely well and, with the right temperature setting, there's no fear of damage. It also does a fantastic job on tablecloths, window sheers and curtains. There's far less spitting from this than my other steam appliances. I expected a lot more than I get. The pole is sturdy but I use my own hangers because I'm usually doing a bunch of laundry at once and can just put them in the closet. I took away a star because I can hold a steaming iron over a hanging cotton item and get a better result than I do with this. Either my expectations are out of line, I'm not using the proper technique or the highest temperature isn't hot enough. Could very well be me as I'm pretty new at the steam game.

I really like the pressure of the steam that it generates but ...
I really like the pressure of the steam that it generates but there are quality control issues that need to be addressed. The first unit I ordered (and returned) came with the little loose white piece that opens the water tank valve (poor design choice) already broken and bent on arrival. I decided to give it another try (based on all ton of positive reviews here) but the second one I order appears to leak from somewhere and leaves a pool of water on my carpet. I've initiated the return process but I still use - I just add about a cup of water (defeats the aim of buying the larger capacity one) and I keep it in my bathroom with tiled floor (easier to deal with the leaked pool of water). I got called by the company and I was hoping they'll offer to replaced the unit with one that has completed a true quality test but they were only conducting a survey to get the reason I was returning it. I'm assuming it's working out great for the ton of users with positive reviews but I also see enough reviews on the water leak issue to not want to roll the dice with another purchase. I had a Jiffy Steamer for over 10 years with no issues until it started malfunctioning lately (too much calcium build up) - I would likely go back to a Jiffy Steamer (unless Kazoo offers to replace with a very well tested/"certified to work properly" unit)

It’s GREAT! ...until it’s not.
Ok. I have mixed feelings about this steamer.Primarily I LOVED it! I won’t go back to the iron for 95% of my wrinkly clothes. It did a wonderful job until it didn’t...I had it for about 3 years. Not bad.I’m tall (5.9) and I had to stoop to use the hanger feature. But the cord had to stretch taught to reach the hook in the back of the bathroom door. The dial knob stopped turning it off after about a year or so. I had to unplug it to turn it off, and I only seemed to function on the hottest setting (what I always used anyway, so I dealt with it.The telescoping pole stopped telescoping too. That’s also something I can deal with - just leave it up.The final straw and the reason I’m going it a 3 was that when it died it died violently. It blew through a serger protector (had to replace that), destroyed the wall outlet (had to replace that too!) and tripped the breaker in the fuse box. I didn’t know the steamer was to blame (thought it was the internet router) and plugged it into the bathroom wall outlet (like I usually do), and it started stinking like burnt electrical wiring and making zapping noises. I could see flashing “lights” through the main body of the steamer!! There’s no internal light there!!! And Oh the Stench! Definitely burning electrical!! I ripped the plug out of the wall and deposited it into the tub! - just in case it caught on fire!My account may sound exaggerated, but I promise, it’s not!!It’s a great little steamer....until it’s not! I’m pretty sure I got my money’s worth, though.
