- ABOUT THIS TEA: Shade grown, handpicked tea leaves are finely powdered to make our matcha green tea. Ceremonial grade indicates the highest quality, exclusively used for drinking in Japanese tea ceremonies. Matcha tea has 10 times more antioxidants than green tea. It is known to improve immunity, metabolism and concentration.
- ALL NATURAL INGREDIENTS: This airtight tin contains a foil pouch with 100% authentic Japanese matcha. No additives, no preservatives, no added flavour or colour.
- DIRECTLY SOURCED: We source 100% natural matcha directly from Nishio region, Aichi prefecture in Japan.
- TASTE PROFILE: Vegetal, grassy, sweet aftertaste. The vibrant green shade is an indication of its quality and freshness. Contains caffeine
- BREWING NOTES: To 1 gm matcha, add a little hot water. Whisk vigorously with a bamboo whisk, stirrer or milk frother until a thick paste is formed. Keep adding hot water in small amounts, whisking with each addition (up to 150 ml) until tea is frothy. Drink up! If you like a strong cup of matcha, add one more gram of matcha to the mix. This tin makes 30 cups of tea.
- STORAGE RECOMMENDATIONS: Matcha should be stored in the freezer if you do not plan on opening it for a while, or in the fridge once it’s opened. In both cases, store in an air-tight container (like our tin) away from light. Improper storage can affect the vibrancy, colour, and taste of matcha.
