I LOVE this pan!!
I'm not sure why others have such negative reviews but I love this pan! Bialetti is a very high quality brand made in Italy. I purchased one of their ceramic non stick fry pans over a year ago at a local store. It makes perfect omelets so I was sold on the non stick ceramic interiors. I replaced all my pans with non stick ceramic with the exception of my handed down cast iron skillet. That said, you DO have to be mindful of how high you turn the heat on them! Which is clearly stated in the use & care instructions. They get very hot very quickly & will start to turn yellow if you use too high of a heat setting. They'll also burn butter pretty quickly if not watched. I always use either olive oil or butter in them, so I can't say what they do if you cook without. Even with my old Teflon nonstick I used butter or olive oil so I never expected this to work differently. The advantage is you don't have to worry about the dangerous coating flaking off into your food. This pan I purchased specifically for grilled cheese sandwiches & pancakes & it works wonderfully for those purposes. The grilled cheese sandwiches come out super crispy & crunchy! Who doesn't love that!? I've never had a problem cleaning this pan either as it pretty much is cleaned up by simply wiping it with a paper towel! All in all I am thrilled with this pan. The only thing I wished was different is the color. Unlike a lot of people these days I am not on the red kitchen band wagon. I much prefer teal but it's not a deal breaker for me. The price was affordable for what I was looking for and it's a keeper in my book! 👍

Very satisfied
We got this pan to replace a Calphalon non-stick pan (the old pan was starting to shed bits of the non-stick coating into the food). We use this pan mostly for pancakes and scrambled eggs. We find we are using it more and more for other things as well. I like it that the sides are a little taller than the Calphalon pan's sides were.NON-STICK QUALITY:We always use a small amount of oil as instructed. The pan has been wonderfully non-stick. I have no complaints at all.COOKING:We cook on a glass-topped electric stove. I noticed that this pan conducts heat much easier than the standard nonstick pans did. It cooks fast. I had to turn down the heat (medium low), or eggs could be browned more than I want. There are no problems when I remember to keep the heat down. I think this is very good. I know I have heat available if I want it. We use only wood spatulas.CLEANUP:Cleanup is very good. The nonstick works well, so cleanup is easy! I use a no-scratch Scotch-Brite sponge and a small amount of liquid dish soap. (UPDATE: No rivets to scrub. I was thinking about the other ceramic pan I have. This one doesn't have rivets.). We never put it in the the dish washer.DURABILITY:We have had the pan about two months. I haven't seen any flaking, discoloration, or marring of the ceramic.HEALTH:We were looking specifically for the non-chemical nature of the ceramic. We are trying to keep plastic out of our diet.WOULD I BUY IT AGAIN?Absolutely. I love this pan. I wish they made a large griddle.

Original version was fantastic - not sure about new one yet
I bought a full set of these pans, the "original" version 7 years ago and have absolutely loved them. They maintained their non-stickness, didn't get scratched up, and I cleaned them regularly in the dishwasher (old version was dishwasher safe). They were fantastic. Now, 7 years later, I started to have some issues with the most used pan in my collection - the 12 inch deep saute pan - where it was sticking after I burned something in it. Being old and such a vital pan in my collection, I thought I'd replace it. This seller was offering both the original version and the new one. I didn't want the "new and improved" one - I can't stand cookware with rivets inside the pans because they get gunk stuck aroud the rivet and make it difficult to clean, and it's harder to soak the pan if you have to worry about water getting under a rivet. Plus the new ones say they are NOT dishwasher safe. So despite the fact that there was a $25 difference in price (with the original costing $25 more), I decided to order the original since it was tried and true. So imagine my surprise when the "new and improved" version arrived instead. But the weird thing is that it came with a stainless steel steamer insert in it which the original one never had, and neither listing mentions anything about this being included. And despite them both being 12" saute pans, the new one is actually bigger (original one fits inside of it). So it's definitely a better value, this new one with the steamer, IF it ends up performing like the original. It frustrates me that it can't go in the dishwasher (yes, I know pans are better off handwashed, but the original is more than 7 years old and worked fine with weekly dishwasher runs). I will update this review after using it a while to see if it performs as well as the original.
