I have had this vacuum for about Fifteen years and it is by far the best vacuum I have ever owned. So when the bearings went out in the brush roller I was very depressed.Fortunately an exact replacement was available and it came very quicklyIt was extremely easy to replace, instructions are included if you need them but actually it’s pretty easy to see how to do it without them.My trusty Dyson is back up to speed like it’s a brand new unit!

So my Dyson broke. The little bearings that go on the end with 2 little screws wore out. Dyson warranted it but were out of the parts due to Black Friday (Sold Out)!!! So I bit the bullet and ordered these. It fit perfectly!!! Easy to installed, I even made both of my girls help me replace them. The screws for the bearings are #1 Philips even though they look like star bit. I would highly recommend this product when Dyson can't fulfill their obligations to their customers.

The plastic tabs holding the old roller broke with use. I thought the whole vacuum was toast, but remembered a previous vacuum had the same problem. Our golden retriever is abundantly hairy, and we forgot to clean the roller often enough. Both were Dysons, and replacing the roller on the first worked for a while, so we tried on this one too.The price was reasonable, delivery was fast, and installation was easy. Now if I could just get the dog to stop shedding....

You may find another brand, but based on how this unit is built and fits, I'd recommend you go with the Dyson product. It fits perfectly! It even came with four new screws for installation. If you have a non-Dyson brush that isn't exactly to spec, it might not fit or rotate properly. The alignment of the brush to four plastic areas in the head is critical to line up exactly, or it will be noisy and wear away the brush. When installed properly, this unit is perfect!

Functions great, value is as good as new! Build quality is a little off for the model it's supposed to be for however you can pull apart the old ends and reinstall them on the new one.

It was hard to find a brush for the DC66 as it's kind of different but this is the perfect one. Glad that I ordered it.

The replacement parts (long and short rollers) fit perfectly on my DC66 upright vacuum. It came with mounting screws too. Very happy with the purchase.

Money very well spent to stop the horribly loud vibrating sound due to loose brush roller. 3 min fix, and voila, near silence once again!
