Problems seem to be fixed
Before I purchased this Kindle title, I read some of the reviews and noted that several reviewers were disappointed. Among the problems mentioned was the fact that the links in the Table of Contents didn't work.I downloaded a sample, and the links in the Table of Contents worked fine for the content included in the sample. I decided to take a chance on the title and ordered the regular Kindle edition.I've clicked on the Index link in the Table of Contents and ended up at the start of the index. Clicking on items in the index worked as it should. So far, all other links in the Table of Contents have led me to the correct page/location .On my iPad Mini, I can view two pages in landscape view with no difficulty. Definitions appear when I click (or touch and hold on my iPad) the word in question. On my Kindle Keyboard, landscape view is possible but I can't get a 2-page spread. Definitions are available on the Kindle Keyboard, as well.I would agree with other reviewers that more illustrations would be helpful, but it's not something I'll lose any sleep over.I think the layout, generally speaking, has not been adapted well for ebooks. On my iPad, page breaks are not necessarily in a logical place. The font is wildly (and unnecessarily) different in size in places, often within one recipe. Bold or italicized text would add emphasis more effectively -- and not as jarringly -- than the much larger font in all caps that seems to be the most frequent mode of emphasis. In general, I find the font a little too big. Easier to read from a distance, such as when cooking and looking across a counter at the recipe, but too big for browsing easily -- at least, too big on my Mini. I'll have to check it on the regular iPad as well; maybe it's better there.Overall, I think I will be pleased with this title, and am happy that the link problems seem to have been resolved. Content rates 4-5 stars, and the fact that the links work correctly helps the rating as well. The font problems and layout issues (including poor implementation of landscape on a Kindle device) are keeping me from actually giving the title 4 or 5 stars.

Easy reference
I subscribe to Cooking Light through the year. It's great to have the new recipes that month to try out. When the cookbook comes out with all the recipes in from the year, I buy it for ease of storing, as opposed to 12 magazines. I do send those on to a friend, so they aren't wasted. It's also nice that I can go through and highlight all the recipes we've tried and liked in the book from the year.

Don't buy the kindle...
Everyone that has reviewed this book so far has bought the hardcover, so I would recommend that. The kindle version is not easy to use. There isn't any pictures or table of contents that's helpful for finding recipes. Also, when you bookmark a page it doesn't tell you what recipe you've bookmarked. A lot of the recipes only have partial nutrition information as well, which is not helpful for weight watchers dieters. With that being said, the recipes are great! I would recommend you buy the hardcover...just don't buy the kindle version.

Always love my annual cooking light recipes
It is always great to get the next year's cookbook every year. I get the magazine each year, but now I no longer need to keep stacks of magazines around to make my favorite recipes from the magazine again! Like having the multiple index option at the back to look up recipes.

Great way to collect all your favorite recipes
While this is an exact copy of all the recipes published in the magazine in 2013, it is a great way to collect all your favorite recipes. Once we purchased this book, we decided that we would just purchase the annual recipe books each year rather than subscribing to the magazine and trying to cut our and organize all our favorites. 100% recommended if you want easy and healthy recipes.

I always get the annual when the price goes down ...
I always get the annual when the price goes down, I don't really care for a lot of the newer ways of eating, but then I find myself getting used to them later on

Not bad, one big problem
So the recipes in the book are great. My problem is that they aren't laid out in a way that makes any sense to me. They are separated by month, not by type of food or meal. The lack of pictures doesn't bother me, as much as I can't easily skip to a section because I know exactly where the "soups, stews, chilis" are located.

Cooking Light Annual
I am a subscriber and always want to keep these wonderful magazines. So I get the year book and that way I don't have to store a years worth of individual magazines. If there are pictures for the recipes in that months mag, I clip them out and put them in the annual at the back in a folder.
