Q*Bert [Old Version]

The game is true to the arcade game and, while a joystick would be better, can be played using the arrow keys. The software loaded and plays on my Win 7 machine but when you try and exit it will not accept the command. Have to shut down with task manager. I tried using the compatibility for Win XP, but no improvement. Also it does not always accept a mouse click for turning the sound off. The information with the program says to visit the Sony site for help, but when you try and get help it tells you the software is no longer supported. Overall a very disappointing purchase.

I guess I must have gotten one of the first copies of Q*bert in the 90's because this copy does not work as smoothly on my lap top. It may be me,.....but the moves are not as smooth (pause between key stroke and move) or quick and then the critters speed up, I am disappointed but will let the younger kids have a go at it before I make a final judgement.

Love this product. I was concerned that the graphics on my computer screen would not be as good as the games my kids play on Wii, but they were! And themouse was aseasy to control as the old-fashioned joystick. I was delighted that my daughter loved it too and became as addicted as I was as a child. But this time, she could play to her heart's delight without me having to constantly put in quarters!

What can I say about Q-BERT!!!!! They have BOTH versions on this and BOTH are awesome. My wife and I are having a competition on who can get the high score. BOTH of us are being VERY competitive right now because of this game!! LOVE IT!!!

Loaded it on Windows 8 and worked just fine - once.After that, I had to uninstall and reinstall every time I wanted to play it.Classic Q bert, just like the arcade game from the 80s

Remember the Q*Bert we used to play on the old Nentendo Machines? Here is is again, only this one is for your PC. It's the very same game. Lots of fun and excitement all over again. I would reccomend it to ANYONE who remembers the old days, or even the newbies who want a great game. Five stars!

The game wouldn't work and it looked as if it was going to put a virus on my computer, so I took it out and deleted it and threw the cd away. The character wouldn't jump from block to block, it would freeze, it would speed run down and then die each time and then page was jumpy. Was not pleased.

I received two instead of one, once downloaded there are several commands that do not work, and most important, I cannot "EXIT"....the only way out is to turn off the computer without properly closing the programs. Returns are work and money.
