An unofficial release, but good quality
There are few official releases from this period, and usually the only unofficial releases are FM radio recordings. This one claims to be an FM radio recording but the quality is much better than you normally get, and it sounds more like a soundboard than an FM. There is only one very minor glitch, with the last track on disc one being cut off a fraction too soon, but otherwise this is an excellent recording. The radio station does not give its call-sign, which adds to the possibility that it is soundboard. Plenty of highlights, and a very good addition to any GD collection.

brilliant product
great live album
7**!
Great
Really great CD from a year that is not well covered by the Dead via official releases. Love 'Walkin Blues' - Jerry's slide work funky! Recommended.

Yet Another Grate Radio Broadcast
OK, so if you don't know, this is 30th April 1988 at the Frost Amphitheatre Stanford University. It is generally considered to be a good gig and one of the better ones that year with two things to note, the premier of Let The Good Times Roll and the unusual triple number encore. Now the recording on this broadcast is really very very good apart from a couple of minor glitches, but nothing to detract significantly from the enjoyment. The track numbering is messed up on CD2 as Drums and Space are shown as individual tracks but they must in reality be counted as one, again a minor error for which I do not detract from the score.Packaging is a standard slim-line plastic box with an 8 page booklet containing photos and an article from the NY Times dated June 1988.There's not many '88 gigs released, and for me this one is a cracker, so I heartily recommend it to collectors and lovers of the Dead.
