good review book
I am using this to study for the PANCE in a couple months. I like that it is to the point and the print is easy to read. My only reason for saying this book is not great is that some of the topics that are listed in the PANCE blueprint and not found in this book. I would really have liked to just use one resource for studying but since some of the topics are missing its just not possible. Coupled with the book that is endorsed by the AAPA does a good job of covering all the material though.

PANCE review
I bought this book to study for the PANCE. I also bought the Lange Q & A practice test edition 5. I'm glad I bought both books because the outline review although accurate seems incomplete. A lot of material in the practice test book is not covered in the outline review. By the way, page 556 suggests Charcot's triad is flank pain, abdominal mass, and hematuria of a kidney mass. But all I have found regarding Charcot's triad is that it's fever, jaundice, and right upper quandrant pain from an infected obstruction of the common bile duct. Update: after being a stay-at-home mom and not practicing medicine for several years, I took the PANCE Jan 2009, and I passed. The most helpful thing was taking as many practice tests as I could find.

My favorite review book so far
Easy-to-read paragraph form, well-organized. Include pathophysiology and more detail than some other books which I anticipate will be helpful on the board exam (and also makes it easier for me to learn!). Follow NCCPA blueprint content. I prefer this review book to O'Connel/Zarbock book for its added detail.

Appleton & Lange outline review for the physician assistant examination
Would not recommend this and am sorry I wasted my money on it. I have used this product in the past and own two previous versions myself. This new version is the pits! No sample test to guage my stong vs weak spots in order to direct my study efforts. No questions to practice on. Very disappointed. I have counted on this book to get me thru several times of recertification exams. This is the worst prepared I have felt going in to take the test. I graduated with Albert and am confused why they changed their format.

Great Review Book
I loved this book to study for end-of clinical rotation exams as well as boards. It is a general overview when you want a quick refresher, and has plenty of room in the margins to write notes. I got the outline review in combination with the Q&A book and feel they were very beneficial. I still pull out the outline review book every so often now that I am a practicing PA-C.

Great supplement for PA boards
This was a great resource for boards prep. Can be really helpful along with the purple book--"Comprehensive Review for the Certification and Recertification Examinations for Physician Assistants: Published in Collaboration with AAPA and PAEA (formerly APAP)". Make sure you have the latest edition. Like the exam book, there were some typos, so don't just use this as your main study source.

Okay book
I liked the book, but it seemed to have one too many errors.
