I used a pair of these brackets at the ends of an 8' shelf in front of my windows in the kitchen. They are absolutely stunning! They are more beautiful than pictured. They are heavy, so keep that in mind as you consider mounting screws. Also, because they are hand made, the screw holes were not placed in exactly the same location, so watch for that if you need more than one bracket.

Beautiful, very heavy and should support a lot with the right carpenter installing. I returned because too heavy for my purposes.
