The 200-degree wide-angle view is kind of a fisheye view. The image is clear but tiny. Works as it should and the security flap on the inside ensures that nobody can look in. Easy to install if you aren't afraid to drill a half inch hole through your door. For that reason, be very sure of where you want to install it! I would recommend that you look through it and see if the image works for you before you drill the hole.

Installed this a couple months ago. All seemed fine, install was easy but it was a little blurry and difficult to see through. One day when I opened my door it fell apart and onto the floor. Come to find out its all plastic and that's why you don't get crisp sight. Pretty disappointed that it came apart and now I just have an open tunnel in my door.

It was easy to install, and it looks pretty good. The wide flanges on each half are great for covering up defects, if you don't quite drill a perfect hole during install. The clarity isn't quite top notch, but still a really good value.

Make sure you have the right tools if you pick this one, it might be a better value to get one with the included drill bit. The functionality is exactly as expected.

Overall this is a good door viewer. It has a pretty good field of vision, though it's only really effective to ~150 degrees. An important thing to know is that the hole required is NOT 9/16", it's closer to 5/8". If you're installing in a wood or composite door, then you can probably work with a 9/16" drill bit and expand the hole as needed. But my front door is metal, so I had bought a 9/16" hole saw. Then the viewer did not fit in the hole, so I had to shave the hole to make it large enough for the viewer. So if you have a metal door as I do, keep this in mind and maybe use a step bit or a 5/8" hole saw.

I never thought I’d leave a review for a peephole, but here I am. We recently bought a house and the peephole that was there was useless. I couldn’t see anything, just a bad fish view lens that wouldn’t let me see a person in front of the door. I just wanted something else and cheap, and this surpassed my expectations. Everything is super clear and I’m extremely happy with it!

Update: I have changed my evaluation of this product from three stars to one star. The product description mentions that it has plastic and glass lenses. I bought this product because I believed the lenses themselves to be glass. The lense components are all plastic. Only the barrel is metal. Other reviewers indicated that the tube containing the lenses is easily disassembled. This is true. We had our front doors painted in two phases: Outside first, inside on a second day. Since it was starting to get dark, the outside was not fully dry when I installed the peep hole. As I was unscrewing the back portion, the lenses fell off. It is too late to return this product, but I will soon be going to my local hardware store to find a replacement. Original review: I was disappointed in this product. Two things that I was looking for in a viewer were that the lense was glass and that the image was clear. Though I have cleaned the lense several times, the image is distorted. I do not recommend the product.
