Prices for this Pequa are all over the map...Home Depot sells a 32oz bottle (if you can find it stocked at your local HD) for $7.62 while this Amazon seller is overpricing it at over 30 bucks for the same sized bottle. Besides the huge difference in price the product will work if you can allow sufficient time for it to just "sit and work". If your clog runs vertical wise it is a waste of money and you would be better off using a electric snake. If however if you know your clog is on a horizontal run you might have better success. In a pinch you can also try undiluted bleach since it is comprised of sodium hypochlorite which is a strong base capable of dissolving hair.

This is hands down the best drain cleaner ever.Years ago I lived in an apartment where I obviously shared old piping with other. The bathroom tub was forever backing up. One such time, the water was half way to the top of the tub. I had bought and tried every product under the sun. Nothing worked. I was just about to invest in my own snake, being that I figured this would just be an ongoing problem, when I went to a local hardware / home goods store for something else. In passing I mentioned my predicament. The gentleman pulled this product from behind the counter and assured me it would resolve the issue without hurting the pipes. Very skeptical but at my wits end I took the Pequa home and followed the instructions. What do you know, within 20 minutes, from another room, I hear the last of the water in the tub gurgling down. To this day, it has never failed to fix a clogged drain.While visiting my parents in Florida, one of their drains backed up. I tried to find this everywhere. Called every local hardware store. Called the manufacturer (no response from them which was rather poor...Keep in mind the Amazon seller is NOT the manufacturer). So we had to call a plumber. A few hundred dollars later, I resolved to never be without it down here too. So we ordered the box and arranged to share it with friends.I rarely write reviews but this truly has been a miracle product for me. The other reviews on the Net validate my experience. (I looked up a few to show our friends who were sharing the order that it wasn't just me who raves about this product.) For the life of me, I don't understand why this isn't on every grocery and hardware store in the country. The only thing I can figure is maybe the manufacturer is not very responsive. The product is OUTSTANDING though! Did I say that already?Amazon (and, in this case marketplace seller, UnbeatableSale, Inc.) comes through again. So grateful to be able to get this!

If snake doesn't work use this stuff.Recommended by a plumber as about the only over-the-counter drain opener that works.I used it when my snake didn't work on a relatives kitchen sink - got about 15-20 feet down and still no progress - poured whole 32 oz.bottle in drain and let it sit overnight. Unclogged the next day with no damage to pipe.Price here on Amazon is nuts. Available at most hardware stores, large and small, for about 1/10th of the price here,
