Love this jacket and will be purchasing more. Great material, fits perfect, true to size and looks just like the picture. My dog is mix Chihuahua, dachshund, and other breeds so he is short in height, big chested and long. I got him a Large. The 17 in. in length fits him perfect, he doesn't have a lot of hair or thick hair so this covers him well from his neck to where his tail starts. I also love the stretchy material around the chest which helps fit more comfortably if your dog is big chested like mine. Also the velcro makes it very easy to put on. The jacket is reversible with two different materials making it nice and cozy and it has a hole in case you'd like to put a leash through it.

I thought my Airedale Terrier was cute, until she put this on! :) We bought this dog vest for our 52lb Airedale Terrier, Peppa. Usually, she is a little apprehensive to wear things but she didn't seem to mind this at all. We took her up to Lake Tahoe where the weather was anywhere from 15 degrees to 40. The pattern was fun and cute and the material was great. It didn't feel cheap in any way.PROS: Great fit. Kept my dog warm in the snow. Covers the underbelly quite well. The thickness was great too! It was snug enough to keep her warm. I liked the Velcro fasteners as it was much easier than zippers. I was able to still put her chest harness on while using this vest. Great style and worked great.CONS: I don't think it is entirely waterproof. So if she gets wet, may not be a good option.Highly recommend. 5/5

For reference, my dog's measurements are--Weight: 11.5 lbs; Chest girth: 15"; Neck girth: 12"; Base of neck to base of tail: 14". The Small fit perfectly! He has a longer body + slightly shorter legs, so I was a bit worried about it not covering enough of his back, but it is a great length.The jacket in size Small measures 12" from the neck / under the collar to the bottom of the jacket; just under 14.5" if you measure the whole length including the collar.He has a sweater on in the picture, which does reach all the way down his back so it pokes out a bit from under the jacket but not by much. It's very simple to put on, though the velcro is LOUD but it's also strong, which is good! The water resistant side is pretty good-- better than I expected-- holding up well against light water without soaking through; unsure how it stands against a downpour or heavy rain but it isn't a raincoat so I'm not expecting it to be totally waterproof. It's a bit thin overall but it is cozy / snug and does seem to help a lot with keeping him warm. The chest portion (between the collar velcro + the belly velcro) is a bit narrow, if that makes sense, but the belly area has a good amount of stretch to it, so it should be able to ideally accomodate a small range of chest sizes. The neck portion is not stretchy but you can adjust where you connect the velcro to best fit your dog. There is a small hole on the back for the harness / leash, though it is not in the right area for my specific harness. The dark red plaid is a nice colour! My only (super minor) complaint so far is the little size tag on the jacket's soft plaid side, but I can just cut it so that's not a big deal either— it just seemed a bit silly to have on a reversible jacket.Overall it's a pretty good little jacket! Hopefully will hold up well during the brutal NE winter but has been great so far this autumn. Definitely *actually measure* your dog instead of going off of weight alone.

The media could not be loaded. This is my little sonnie bunny! (sunny) he is about 1.5 years old, weighs 16.5 pounds. he's very muscular and toned for a pug puppy. so it's hard to shop for him because of his long slender figure, he's not like most pugs at this age; he has a crap load of muscle lol! he loves swimming and going outdoors so i've been putting coats on him and sweaters since he was even a smaller pup to get him used to wearing coats since in michigan we have brutal weather here. his girth is 13.5 inches, from neck to tail he is around 15 inches and from full on head to tail he is 19 inches, and that's why i'm only putting 4 stars, it's too long on him so i have to fold it over in the back for him to use the bathroom to go pee and poop. i haven't put his harness yet on but hopefully it'll cinch him up more. it fits perfectly all else where not too loose not too tight, just exact comfort room. i prefer to put the plaid on the inside so he has more of a fleece coat feeling and the snow and rain can hit the "water resistance " part. oh duh i bought him a medium. i almost forgot that. i was debating between a large and a medium because mediums are usually too small on him at pet stores but since it's amazon i got a M. i'm soooo happy i did. bc this is the second time i had to order this because someone stole my first amazon package 😡 i know righr?? who could steal a puppy's coat!! anyways, the medium is good for now. i was gonna return it for a small but he is comfortable in it, and hopefully he'll grow into the length part, if need be i'll go to a different brand but i really love this jacket so far, it makes him look like a stud muffin!!! getting all the ladies!! i wouldn't really go by the size chart, just go by based off reviews and ur gut! u know ur fur baby better than amazon. that's what i had to do!!

Solid construction, good color and size for medium size dog. Easy to put on. Dog loved for mild winter, no snow.
