It's beautiful but it has a clicking sound that does not let you concentrate if you are studying or working on a task that needs concentration. If you are in the kitchen then its fine cause you have your TV and radio and the clicking sound will fade away but if you are on your computer studying.....forget it! but its a beautiful product so I am keeping it man, the color is beatiful and the apple shape is so cute! I love it! but i will highly reccommend getting this ONLY for the kitchen!

This timer has a noisy and rapid tick-tick-tick sound while it is counting down. Since I intended to use it to remind me to get up every 30 minutes while I was working at my computer, this was unacceptable to me and I have returned the timer to Amazon. It might work OK for use in the kitchen, but not for anything requiring quiet for concentration.

No frills. Just good old retro-pomodoro counting. I don't need my shoes tied and mouth wiped like digital ones. Well, at least not usually. ;)

This timer is too much noisy. I grabbed it for doing focused work so when timer is on then attention can given to other task. Continues tik tik is very distracting and that takes more focus than actual task.

OK - I wanted more than what was advertised. I'm very hard of hearing, so I hoped that when I put the timer on a tin tray it would make enough noise for me to hear.It didn't.So, I must put a hearing aid into one ear to be able to use the timer. For normal people it would be great.

I bought this for use with the Pomodoro Technique. The timer is just like the one recommended in the book. It has a lovely soft ticking sound. The ring is an old-school ring—just a plain old mechanical timer. If you need a simple timer, this is an excellent timer. Just wind it up and start your task.

I was using this timer at work as a Pomodoro timer, setting it for 55 mins at a time and getting up to walk when it went off each hour. It worked great until it didn't. It just stopped working about 3 weeks after I started using it, it will just stop prior to the time being up. Maybe after 1 minute, maybe after 10. But it is useless as a timer now because it is unreliable.
