The battery life may be "up to 6 years", but I can confirm that after 29 months of sitting on the shelf and never removed from the package that mine was dead. So, now I hope to cut it open and replace the non-replaceable battery with another CR2450.

I installed to my bike. It is a Honda Tornado XR250. And it does it job quite well, I wrapped it around the spark plug wire like 5 turn and then used electrical tape to wrap around it so that it does not come off.

Tach and hour meter works well. Added it to the throttle cable of my powered paraglider. I really like the reset feature which will let me track maintenance intervals while still keeping total hours running. I only wish the meter casing was more curved rather than having square edges. Or, they could offer a mounded version. Still does everthing as advertised with no issues. I'm happy.

Attached to plug on Yamaha 70 hp works great and seems to be very accurate I have 16 hours on motor so far

I like the fact that it works right out of the gate wrap the wire around the spark plug wire and ground it then you're done.

The idea is great, but there seems to be a glitch or design flaw in their firmware or a problem with internal isolation or something that causes it to continually reset to the default configuration--making the numerous engine configurations useless.The default setting is 1 spark per 360 degree crankshaft rotation; depending on your cylinder count and if you have a 'wasted spark' configuration or not, this default setting might work for you. Otherwise, the one I got kept returning to that default setting and is useless for anything other than 1 spark per 360 degrees of rotation.
