Used to be good... today, avoid like the plague.
These used to be great! But apparently in an attempt to cut costs not only are they now somewhat small to size and literally gotten so tight that new ones need to be next size up or they will constrict blood flow, I've had 2 of the last 3 pair I purchased come apart at seams that was poorly sewn literally within a couple of uses. Clear QA problem that should NEVER happen for a 'premium' sock product that costs nearly $20 a pair. I'll switch back to other products that give me 3 for the same price and actually understand that QA is a thing. The attached photo was the 3rd time these socks came out of the drawer.

Going down hill fast!
I have bought these for several years, and even still have some of the first pairs I've ever bought. They have gotten thinner and less fuzzy, but still intact. Now, I have in the last year, bought 4 pairs that have had to be returned due to the seam ripping open, sometimes after just one wash! Hmmm...I wonder what's changed!? I'll bet Acorns profit margin has increased, but there quality has GREATLY decreased! I'm not even sure why I continue to buy these. I guess I loved the originals so, I keep hoping in my wildest dreams, I will get a good pair again. They are so warm and non-binding, yet still stay up. Please Acorn, go back to your old ways!! I'd think at $20 a pair, you could have both profit and quality.

NOT the same socks
I read the other reviews, but decided to try them myself. The reviewers were right! The socks are not the same material; they are now possibly some sort of synthetic. And they fit strangely...the toes seem a bit big, and the calf seems a bit tight. I returned them, so did not witness the seams coming apart after one wash, as other reviewers had mentioned. But I am sad that the good quality socks that I have loved for years are no longer available. (I had liked them because they did not create an indentation on my calf.)

not what they used to be
These are not anywhere near the same quality as Acorns used to be. The heels wear out and get holey within a few months, compared to the ones I used to get that would last over a year. I thought at first it was just a pair or two that maybe had a flaw in the material, but it has proven to be every pair over the last few years. I am no longer wanting to buy these at their price and lesser quality, and unfortunately have no choice until I can find a better more suitable product to replace it with since they are so hard to find in the first place. I have ordered them from Acorn's actual site as well as from Amazon and there is no difference in price or quality. I guess the material used is just not as good as it used to be?

I miss the old Acorn Fleece Socks!
I love Acorn fleece socks; I honestly don't know how I would get through the winter without them. This is my third pair. They are a super cute pattern.....BUT they felt much smaller than my previous two pairs. So I held an old pair against this new pair and the foot is the same length but is not the same width. Acorn is evidently trying to save a bit of material by making the socks narrower. That is disappointing, as the roominess was a big factor in the comfort. I will keep them as they are usable, but will have to go up a size if I order another pair for myself. NOTE TO ACORN: notice I said "if". You really shouldn't mess with the recipe of your tried and true products.

Not as good quality as in the past :-(
I started buying Acorn fleece socks as gifts maybe 15 years ago! Everyone just loved them and literally wore them out. They used to be wider than they are now. The large socks are plenty long but really narrow and don't have the stretch they used to have. it's too bad - maybe Acorn was bought out or got new management, but even with the great new colors and designs they now have, if they don't fit well, they're not much use! Too bad. I tried calling Acorn to ask about it but was on HOLD FOREVER! I am going to send them an email of this review.

Just What I Wanted
I wear size 10 1/2 shoes. I bought XL, which is for 11 1/2 to 13. They are slightly loose. If I were wearing these in boots, I would want L, which is right for my size. However, I wear these to bed, so I don’t want them to be tight. Feet need some room at night, but cold feet interfere with sleeping. Note that these are polartec fleece. They give a little, but they don’t really stretch—no elastic. They are cut to fit your feet. There’s a seam all around the bottom, but it’s very well sewn and doesn’t bunch up, so it doesn’t wear blisters inside boots. Note that fleece will wear at the heel if you wear them around the house instead of slippers. However, my heels doesn’t feel cold as much as my toes do, somImcan wear them with holes in the heels. I should probably sew some fleece onto the heel right away so it will be double thick, but you know how that goes.

Price and size
I have been wearing this type sock (Accorn) for a long time and I love them, but these last few pairs I have bought are very incorrectly sized. they are too long, but too narrow in the foot. I'm keeping them because I need them and don't want the bother to return them (although they are very overpriced) Whoever is now making these socks is not very good. The old ones back a few years ago, were not like this.

Keeps my ankles fine and cosy
I had bought a pair of these cabin socks before in America and wanted other pair although these socks are okay they do seem a bit tighter around the legs and a bit wide at the feet but overall I’m happy enough with them

Want cozy feet? Buy ‘em!
Excellent quality. Very comfortable, they aren’t super fashionable, but if you want to keep your feet warm and cozy these don’t disappoint. Plus they last a long time.
