Danish Orchards Preserves, Strawberry, 4-Pound

Okay, here's the thing: I love jam, and I don't mean just a little bit! So I was hesitant to try any jam that had less than five stars, especially at $10.00 a pop, because I have been sorely disappointed by terrible-tasting jams before. I was also not thrilled at the idea of dealing with the leakage from poor packaging described in some of these other reviews.Nevertheless, suddenly finding myself without a vehicle caused me to have to research other creative ways of getting my family's monthly shopping done. So I bit the bullet and ordered the jam.What a surprise!!! Not only was the container packaged extremely securely (wrapped in bubble wrap with tape across the top) but the taste was absolutely delicious!We moved cross country this summer, so I missed out on my usual jam making week where I raid the local stores for peak produce and spend seven or so glorious days translating it all into gleaming bottles of jammy goodness.Lucky for our family, we now have this amazing, chunky, summer-flavored jam to tide us over. I'm subscribing to it so we'll get a constant supply!In short, if your experience is anything like mine, you will love everything about this jam!

I used to live in a town where you could get this at any store. When I found it on Amazon I was elated!! Its the best strawberry jam anywhere. Might even be better than my grandma's home made jam!

I had remembered this brand fondly from when we lived in the Pacific Northwest, so I thought I’d give it a try, even though the quantity is a bit excessive. I like it, though the flavor is a bit mild. It should be packed better, perhaps enclosed in a plastic bag. It leaked into the box it was shipped in and made a bit of a mess.

Tasted good (from the lid) but the container was poorly packaged and broke in the box, good thing it was in a plastic bag. Hope they learn to package this better. Smaller tight fitting box would work. Glad the Amazon customer service was good.

Wow!!! This is the most delicious preserves I have EVER had, it has this perfect balance of fruit, to jell, and has a deliciously smooth buttery taste!!! I read the reviews on how it can spill in packages during shipping, so I had mine gift wrapped and it was wrapped in plastic and then in a cute box... The result, just a little jelly on the outside part of the lid, less than a teaspoon; something, easily washed off. I HIGHLY recommend this product, and cannot wait to try the rest :)

The package arrived in a mess. Jam dripping from the box. My dog loved the clean-up. The carton was exactly as pictured, but should have been shrink-wrapped. It was simply laid on its side with packing tossed in the box and off it went. The trip was too much for it....and it popped open and spilled out into the bottom of the box......and leaked out of the packing box. A total mess. But, in true Amazon style, I was given a refund and an apology for the inconvenience. After the sticky clean up....and my refund.....it turned out fine and Mama-Dog loved all the cleaning of the driveway and the garage floor and was not the least bit inconvenienced.

I wish I'd read the reviews before I ordered this. Mine also arrived opened, and I tried to return it, but that's apparently not an option for this item. Amazon obviously tried to package it well; the container was taped shut, and wrapped in plastic, but it still broke open transit. I think the container is probably the problem, not the packaging. The jam tasted fine, but I was afraid to try it, since it was open when I got it.
