Dementia Friendly
Easy to set up, no landline required, SIM card easy to register. Low cost, good quality and enables the family to keep in regular touch with their dad who is in a care home with dementia. My husband can use the phone easily and is familiar with a regular phone. Photo recognition when he wants to call us, so no long numbers to put into the phone. Care home so impressed with this phone that they have purchased 2 phones to use for other residents.

Happy I Got It
I am pleased with the phone and glad I chose the branded Steepletone one. It performs the basic features well. It has its quirks and own character such as the choice of some odd ringtones, the (changeable) peculiar photographs on the three speed-dial buttons or the predictive text; it has depth to its set up in the way that the default text input method can be set in the menu for example and the choice to put in your own photographs under the speed dial button and ability to store people's numbers between the sim or phone (250 available entries for each). Some people used to smart phones may get frustrated with certain things such as inputting names into the phonebook but once they are in they are in.I have had the phone three weeks. I cannot comment on long term reliability but it gives the impression of being decently built enough. In summary I would say that the phone is very good at being a phone and is suitable for anyone who the 'big buttons' are aimed at such as it having a very loud ringer. The best selling point is its value considering what it cost. I would recommend it to my friends or family.

Useful versatile desk top mobile phone great price
Bought for relative in care home to replace a much more expensive one bought years ago. Very pleased so far. Particularly good that you can just have it plugged into the mains all the time without having the battery inserted (manual says must only be on battery charge for limited period at a time and relative would not be able to cope with that). I might mark the Volume up/down buttons as they're not easy to see for the elderly but the number buttons are nice and big and the 3 preset buttons can have a picture which helps too. Inserting sim card easy but needs pushing in, sim card cover bit fiddly but OK if lined up properly. Arial screws on securely. Would recommend. Arrived quickly and well packaged .

An awful phone - cheaply made and doesn't work well
Difficult to program .... menu display totally inappropriate for someone who is partially blind ... there are far more superior products out there - AVOID

Defective product and no customer service
The SIM card slot will not retain a SIM card. The headset socket also looks crooked. Return authorised over a month ago, though I was forced to pay the £8.80 postage. NO REFUND yet and NO ANSWER to messages.
