Well designed and very functional but maybe I was just unlucky...
My experience of this monitor mount left me disappointed. The design and function of it was so good but part of it broke so I had to return it - leaving me in two minds about whether to buy it again.Briefly then, it is a relatively high-cost item that feels more solid than similar designs and this particular variant provides two 'Arri' locator pins that fit into corresponding holes to either side of the tripod mounts on the Atomos Ninja VThese prevent the monitor's mount from slipping when you move it. Most rival products are hard to tighten enough to stop this and if your turn the monitor anticlockwise, it often unscrews from the mount. These extra pins prevent this. The allen key adjustments allow you to fine-tune the pan and tilt frictions to suit the weight and balance of your monitor and if you get them just right, you can move the monitor to any position just by hand and it will stay put. There are often times you need to adjust your monitor while filming (especially on a tripod) to enable a full range of shooting angles and this has a lovely, smooth and damped action. But in my case, one of the pins fell off after a couple of uses - its tiny screw thread had been stripped so it would no longer stay mounted to the unit. This has left me doubting the long-term robustness of the rest of it. The premium price tag would not be an issue in return for the clever design of this unit but that price may become a bitter pill to swallow if a similar failure occurred outside of the returns period. My experience may well have been a one-off event though... 3 stars for that but would have easily been 5 had it stayed in one piece.

ANDYCINE: Mini Hot Shoe Mount
With a price tag of £29.99 (at time of purchase) I was certainly reluctant to purchase this but I did need a sturdy mount so decided to go for it anyway. It's a nice robust & sturdy mount which does exactly what it's supposed to do; I have used it with various accessories and so far I can't complain about the performance. It also comes with a hard case and tools so overall a nice package though I question if they are necessary (guess that's subjective).I don't regret purchasing it however I do feel it's a bit overpriced and that around the £20 mark would be more appropriate.

Another GREAT product from ANDYCINE!
This Hot Shoe Mount for my ATOMOS NINJA V is awesome!I have been testing a lot of hot shoe mounts from different companies, but only the ANDYCINE is offering me what I need. It is so strong that it can hold my NINJA V together with the 7800mAh battery without any issues. It will come in a very sturdy hard case, including a lot of small accessories. It is well built, made from metal with the most attention to details. Your monitor will not shift thanks to the two blocking pins. You can mount this directly to your camera hot shoe as this is not too heavy or bulky, or you can mount it to the hot shoe on your cage.I am so happy with my purchase! I can’t recommend it enough for what a great piece of kit this is.What can I say more? But it now to make sure you have a safe way to mount your NINJA V to your camera.

NEW DESIGN ! for ANDYCINE Hot Shoe Mount for Ninja V
The Andycine mount for Ninja V has been changed and doesn't look like the photos on Amazon.Andycine confirmed this with me.The original design looked nicer in my opinion but the new design makes it easier to tighten. Also, the price is the same but you no longer get the accessories ! Now you just get an allen key and the plastic box it comes in.Functionally, this is very secure once you tighten everything up and you can tilt and rotate the Ninja as you would expect.I have photo'd it next to the SmallRig version, which is much bigger and because it doesn't have the locating pins doesn't hold the Ninja as well as the Andycine. If you are mounting a Ninja V without a cage to a hot/cold shoe then I recommend this product.

Soild, over-priced and supplied with pointless accessories
The Andycine is a nicely manufactured sturdy little bracket that easily holds my 7 inch field monitor once the Allen bolts are tightened using the supplied Allen key. However for what it is the £30 price tag is too much. The product also seems to come with a ridiculous array of pointless 'accessories' possibility to make you think you are getting value for money. Why you need a poorly made multi-screwdriver, a key ring, a Philips screwdriver head , a microfiber cleaning cloth a tiny plastic box 'pill box' is beyond me. Even the blow molded hard case is a bit pointless as it takes up a lot of space in a kit bag.All of this extra tat will probably go straight to landfill.Reduce the price, get rid of the rubbish.

Holds DSLR monitors Securely
A very useful and very important piece of kit. Holds the Ninja V monitor recorder securely. It comfortably holds and rotates the monitor so you can observe the screen at various angles. You can tension the screws so that no matter the size of the battery weight on the monitor it does not interfere with the smoothness of the operation. Well masde and all metal with friction grip on the base where the monitor is secured.

Really solid piece of kit.
Having used a lot of different solutions for mounting my monitor, I always found that I never really had a lot of confidence in the mounts. They'd wobble, loosen up and I felt uneasy about mounting my Ninja V with them.I decided to not cheap out on mounting solutions earlier in the year and picked up this monitor mount. I must say your really do get what you pay for. This has been an absolute dream, I can tilt my monitor without it gradually slipping down and I have total faith in the mount. To the extent where I've now replaced a lot of parts on my rig with AndyCine products.Thoroughly recommend!

avoid its rubbish
does not do what it claims it can do. removed both screws at the side of the mount and still it will not angle nor does it turn 360 , returned there pile of junk for a refund.
