Great value except that it does not have instructions. It comes with two sets of gaskets which were nearly identical so I was confused on which one to use. I gave it only three stars, because at first, it would not prime fuel into the engine. After at least 100 pushes on the primer valve and lots of frustration and disappointment on my part, it began to spray fuel into the carburetor and I was able to finally start my engine. Yay!

Kit arrived late, but expected due to delays caused by COVID. Used this on an old Bolens walk behind edger with a Briggs and Statton 3.5 hp Engine. The edger had set unused for 2 years with gas in it and the carb was completely fouled up. Order came with all the parts listed. The quality does not appear to be as good as factory but it is much less expensive than factory parts and seems to work, plus it comes with spare parts. Once replaced, the motor is now running fairly well, but does sputter from time-to-time (not sure if that is due to other issues with this old motor or from the new carb)! I do not use this edger much so the occasional sputtering is not such a big deal! Overall, this kit seems to be a good value and I would order it again if needed!

The plug was incorrect, and if I had put it in it would have damaged my piston. The hole on the carb where the governer rod inserted was too small and had to be drilled larger. The butterfly control was facing the wrong way and had to be moved so that it would start in choke position. Screws were too long for one application. So reuse your screws so it will seat. Not for novices!!

The kit was easy to install and includes everything needed to do a real tune-up. Engine starts on the first pull every time. A real value for the price. Very satisfied.

Installed caburetor in early spring. Initially carburetor worked great but halfway through summer of light use mowing 20 yards of ditch once a week the primer stopped working. I took primer bulb out to find the ball and spring to have come out of the retainer. I put it back in and it worked for 2 more months. Same thing happened again and this time the retainer would not hold the spring tension and the spring shot out. Item is poorly made and I would not recommend.
