Excellent light grey color and silver-aluminum works well in the kitchen, and made this purchase viable given the unusable colors of hi-viz yellow, safety orange, red, or black brooms so many offer. The orange trim details are tolerable but I'd rather see OXO offer this with a similarly subtle blue or green trim.Excellent build quality and function--when it arrives, you should check that the dustpan's edge is straight and flat as reviews show there have been wavy-edged dustpans delivered. Mine was straight and proper so maybe OXO has worked this out better.In general I find OXO to be the high quality leader in small kitchen tools. I seldom prefer OXO's electrical appliances, but they're the best for kitchen tools like drainboards, brooms, tools.This OXO broom/dustpan is no exception in that the aluminum shafts have top quality finish with good handle and fixture details; the broom is full and feathered and easy to use with a smaller size that is perfect for the one-handed use I have for it. The broom / dustpan combination is a pleasure to use and actually makes me want to do the little chores this is for.check the labels for how to tighten the adjustable shaft at your desired length, but be patient if it doesn't tighten right away. At first I thought mine wouldn't tighten and would need to be returned but as I worked with it I found the threads engaged and it tightened solidly. I use its shortest setting which is perfect.I was looking for a mid-sized / shorter broom that was easy to use one-handed with a dustpan held by the other hand. I'm 5'11" so not in need of a short broom generally, but sweeping one-handed with a full height broom doesn't work for me. The smaller broom fits easily into the dustpan for storage without harming bristles; the dustpan clicks to stay open as you move from small mess to mess sweeping with one hand into the dustpan held with the other hand for the most efficient quickest cleanup use; then the two shafts click together for the easiest storage in a narrow space while the excellent colors mean it can be stored visibly and not have to be hidden in a closet. Really it's perfect.

I spent a LOT of time researching brooms. I am on a budget, and there were cheaper options but I don’t regret spending a little more for this amazing broom set.I love the bristles since they work well on my hardwood and tile and get into the corners well. They are soft but thick, don’t miss anything or fling stuff around. So easy to make piles or you can just sweep into the pan. Something about it also just FEELS good when I sweep which sounds weird but is true for me! It’s so satisfying.The beige color works great for me with just the hint of orange. I don’t have a broom closet, have a smaller apartment, and really need my surroundings to look and feel good for me to be calm. I wanted something that wouldn’t be an eye sore. This broom blends in well to my kitchen colors and tile vs something black, red, or blue. When you shrink the handle down you can really barely see it next to my microwave. So yay!The dustpan works great, I love the bristle cleaner, and it all feels so sturdy. The adjustable height is nice. You really have to twist it tightly for it to stay up, but I love the broom so much I don’t care when it slips a little. No biggie.I’m a nerd for this broom and glad I treated myself despite my tight budget. I’m a single mom with two jobs and spend so much time cleaning! I decided to at least give myself tools that look and feel good so I can enjoy the experience as much as possible. Even my cynical teen who originally said, “How can it be so great it’s just a broom?” Agrees now. He kinda sucks at sweeping (he knows) and I need him to get better at it so this helps!This broom does it for me!

OXO does it again with a great quality must have cleaning product around the house. I hate the big broom and dustpan sets usually sold in stores, this OXO one packs in such a small footprint but extends to a very usable length.I used it mainly to clean my garage and patio, nothing to complain, very efficient. I'm 5'5'' and I don't even extend it fully; I know this is called `butler` set and some don't like it, but it's the feature that sold this product to me. The dustpan is still generous enough to fit a decent amount of leaves. The comb teeth are practical and I love I can lock the dustpan upwards for easier storage (and no dust on the floor even when I don't have time to fully clean the broom).It's easy to assemble and setup without breaking any sensitive fingers in the process.After a good swipe it is also easy to rinse with water in a medium sized sink, just to get all the dust out of the way.The nylon bristles have some softness, they aren't very rigid, which I much more prefer. But this also be a negative point for others. Some hairs started fraying after good use, but that happens to any broom one actually uses.

Looks great. Works great. Easy to extend. Sturdy. Don't waste your money on other products.

Great product that’s well made and great for cleaning.The fact that the broom handle is extendable and lockable is handy for use as well as storage purposes. The dustpan can be cleaned with plain soap and water.The bristles sweep well and fit inside of the dustpan when not using. The set is lightweight but sturdy enough to be used on a regular basis. Not recommended for heavy duty or outside of household use.The bristles are firm enough that it makes sweeping easier and faster. The weight and features make it easy to clean corners, base boards, and awkward angles better than some other brands. It’s easy to store, either hanging or to use with a handing system.The color is neutral and works with any decor.
