We love this so much, although our pets and perhaps our neighbors wish we didn’t. It has a huge array of effects, so you can find the one that works best with your voice or make airport PA announcements in the style of a robot/choir/folk musician. It is easy to set up and use, although you will probably spend hours flipping through effects with intriguing names like “cowgirl low”, “get lucky”, or “I luv myself” to find out which one makes your children despair the most. Thus far, we’ve found “Islands in the Stream” with any effect to be the most effective at chasing children out of the room.You can adjust the amount of “help” the autotune-like feature provides. That’s useful because the heaviest setting on most effects pretty much replaces your voice with something very different, for good or bad. The lightest setting, with the lightest effect, adds enough extra to give you the smallest bit of hope that you might not be as terrible as you are.It is versatile, so you adjust the mic level (versus music from a karaoke video). That’s useful as you can highlight your enhanced voice or cover it, depending on audience demands.I can’t think of any negatives. It’s sturdier than I feared when I saw the pic. If you’re like us, you’ll want the additional mic to truly rock out “Islands”. Huge amounts of fun, regardless of talent.

The stand is useless, which makes the whole thing useless. Is this typical? Or is mine defective? I’ve tried tightening the legs, but they still don’t hold.

My family loves it! It’s more fun than I expected. Even our 3 year old is hooked. I wasn’t a big fan of karaoke until we got this-now I sing at least 3 days a week! Get it!
