Before buying this present for my twin three year old boys they never really ever played with any of their toys but they ALWAYS wanted to help mommy change the batteries in their toys; helping with the screwdriver always! And I'm sure many children see their mother/father working on things with tools and kids love to imitate! So they got a tool set, but then they didn't like that cause the drill didn't actually work, they had nothing to hammer.... but with this!!!!!! My boys can play with this alone, without my help and use the screwdriver and the drill to drill/screw in nails, the other pieces, and although we cannot build up yet, they spend hours just drilling the nails in right now, and then undrilling them! With this it allows the kids to LITERALLY IMITATE their parents and use tools and they love that they can do that. This is such a creative well thought of toy! And once my kids understand the basics of the drilling and stuff THERE'S MORE.... cause then there are like 6 other bags of pieces they haven't even began to use yet!THIS IS BY FAR THE BEST PRESENT MY KIDS HAVE EVER GOT!

Busy activity for toddlers! Our 3 1/2 year old enjoys playing with the drill set when he’s in the mood to play with it lol! When he received the drill set initially, he was excited and loved playing with the drill (requires batteries)! Definitely kept his little brain occupied for about 25 minutes. The set comes with plenty of colorful individual bags of screws and other small items that can be drilled into the main base board. The set also comes with different base board themes. Example- castle, outer space, etc. After opening the individual bags, we placed the screws inside of little ziplock bags! Highly recommend, if not you will have colorful screws everywhere. The drill set case is definitely convenient and comes in handy when it’s time to clean up or if you plan to travel and want take the drill set with you. Removing each individual screw was a headache coming for a grown-up’s perspective lol! A child who enjoys manipulating items with their hands, should like this set. Good value for money. No problem assembling.

This drill set is durable and fully functional. It comes with a variety of screws, a power drill and a regular screw driver. The set has thin, interchangeable plastic panels with colorful pictures on each (ie. a snail, a castle, etc.) that fit perfectly on top of the drill table with pre-drilled holes. My daughter loves finding the screw colors that match each section of the picture panel, using both the power drill and screw driver to create a colorful picture on the mat. She spent hours on Christmas day using this toy, and eventually got quite good at using both the drill and screw driver!This toy also grows with the child, as it includes flat, colorful plates with drill holes to build three dimensional objects from the drill board. As of right now, my 4 year old is content with just using the drill mat and plastic panels, but as she gets older/more savvy with using the tools and building, she will continue to play with this toy. I highly recommend the Kidtastic Building Board Drill Set for preschool age and young school aged children.

This was way better than we even imagined it would be. There are lots of pictures options to swap between, lots of drill bits, and multiple 'extra' type things to keep this constantly challenging and rewarding but totally doable. My 3 year old loves it, but it will definitely still be good and of interest for a few more years!

This is a great toy that I bought for my daughter's 3rd birthday. I have to say, my 8 and13 year old were just as excited about playing with it too! The "real" drill is so much fun! There are so many patterns to choose from and I love that one toy can help develop so many skills...sorting, colors, fine motor, etc! I only wish there were instructions or suggestions on how to use the other plates and bolts that come with the set. (Clearly, I need some help in my imaginative skills department!) For tired brains like mine, it would be nice to see a few pictures on what other things one can build with the accessory pieces. But truly, this is a great purchase for kids, especially in the 3-6 year old range!

This is a great little toy! My son is 2.5 years old and loves it. This is a great toy for color matching, hand eye coordination and understanding cause/effect.Pros- Everything fits neatly in the little case - perfect for storing it away when not in use!- The pieces are colorful and grip his attention.- The drill really works and the activity of putting the drill in the bolts is great for hand eye coordination.- The drill has a reverse feature - great for cause/effect and problem solving.Cons- The pieces are small, so this would be best suited for kids over aged 3 or kids who do not put anything in their mouths. My son does not and never really has, so we trust him with this without constant supervision.- The drill will continue to "drill" after the piece is already in. I wish it would know to stop when there's resistance. Instead it makes this horrible noise and I worry that my son is going to break it.
