The Baby Beebee Bird

I discovered this book about 2003 when my son was 4 . It was our family’s favorite for years! We all loved making the animal noises and talking in different voices like the animals might do. Recently I bought this as a present for a one year old and as I read it to her, she was taken in by the beautiful illustrations and fun noises. Her parents said she had never sat so still for so long as she was read to. They say she regularly toddles up to them holding the book out for someone to share it with her. Highly recommend!Note - some 1-2 yr olds might try to tear the pages so probably best suited for 3+ unless you are teaching book etiquette.

This book is so much fun! Well written and beautifully illustrated. This book also makes a great gift for a baby shower.

My 2 year old son LOVES this book! I had it as a kid through Weekly Reader Book Club, but it was a much smaller edition with different illustrations. But it was a very fun book, and since I got rid of all my childhood books a few years ago (I didn't expect another child!) I've been going back and buying some of my old favorites for my son. While I'm partial to the version I had, that's just personal preference, and he loves this one! He walks around all day saying "beebeebeebeebird...all day long!" My only complaint is that one of the last pages was ripped and taped together, but I knew this was used and I can't remember what quality it was advertised as, so I'm not going to deduct a star for that, because it might have been "Used-Acceptable". I almost want to take off a star because I really really prefer the older version with the white and blue illustrations and cover. The pictures were much simpler and cuter, and in this one there's a strange-looking zookeeper and some of the animals could be a little scary to a very small child. But that's not the seller's fault! The book arrived fairly quickly, and I had no issues with the seller.

This was one of my son's very favorite books when he was little (he's 38 now), so when I saw it, I had to order it for my four year old granddaughter. Last night, she spent 5 minutes giving Pop Pop and Gigi a "book report" on HER new favorite book. And my son got a kick out of sharing it with her.

This book is fun to read and both my children loved it! The sleep-disrupting baby bird sings a song at night that drives the other residents of the zoo to distraction. But the animals figure out a solution that has everyone in the zoo getting the sleep they need.

I was looking for this book in the original format, but this one was OK.The seller could have taken the “Goodwill $0.99” sticker off so I didn’t feel like I was taken advantage of, but it was still a good purchase.

I read this book to my three daughters over 30 years ago. It was the favorite book of each of them, or at least it was the most requested. Every night, for years, I mumbled "Beebee bobbi bobbi, beebee bobbi bobbi, ...", until it became a recurring nightmare in my sleep! The book was bordering on an obsession for the children. I consider myself fortunate to have survived those years with my sanity intact! A whole generation was deprived of this enobling experience when the book went out of print. Gleefully, I discovered recently that the book is back in print in this nicely executed edition, I immediately ordered a copy for each of my daughters, chuckling madly. They all have children now at the right ages for the book. Now I am getting panic phone calls from my daughters, whose kids are thoroughly hooked on the book. My eldest's son grabs the book when he first wakes up in the morning and demands that it be read! Ah, revenge is sweet!

My son loves giraffes, which is how I am assuming this book made it home from the library one day. My son immediately latched onto the book and it became the bedtime book that had to be read, every day, without question (I have read this so many times now that I have it memorized and have recited it over the phone to my son when I am out of town). Before we knew it our library checkout was due (after maxing out the number of extensions we could take on it!). We scrambled and found it on Amazon with prime shipping.This book is a great kids book and can really be sold by having a great "beebee bird" voice. My wife and I try to compete to see who can lay down a better series of "bee bee bobbi". Kids of all ages will love this book.

My 2 year old grandaughter keeps choosing it. The pictures and Grandma's noisy way of reading is a wonderful experience!!

Great book

Such a clever and different read. Kept the children entertained for hours
