I like this charger so far, but I will update this review as I continue to use the charger and batteries; to see if the performance holds up over time. So far the batteries seem to be functioning fine, and this charger actually seems to charge my regular CANON brand LP-E8 battery FASTER than the Canon official charger does. --So I have tested a dead official CANON LP-E8 from Canon in the Canon Charger, and then the same battery after it died again in this LP Charger. During the Test I was only using one slot on the LP charger, because the specs indicate that it charges at 800mA if charging one battery, and 550mA if charging two at once. With the this LP charger, I was able to charge my official CANON LP-E8 from dead to full in about 90 minutes. In the official Canon charger this took closer to two hours. This might be because the specs on the LP charger are 8.4V at 800mA, while the Canon charger is 8.4V at 720mA. The Canon one is also a few years older, if that matters. --I also noticed the LP batteries that came with this charger are: 7.4V, 1200mAh, 8.14Wh; while the official CANON battery is: 7.2V, 1120mAh, 8.1Wh --I have not yet been able to fully discharge the LP brand batteries so that I can test their recharge times in both devices, but it does seem like they are lasting a bit longer so far than the Canon battery. As soon as I discharge both the LP brand batteries I will test them in each charger for comparison. I would also assume based on the specs that charging two batteries at once in the LP charger would take longer than just one, but I can test that also later. ~So in conclusion, as of right now, this charger seems to be faster than the Canon one, AND the LP batteries seem to last longer than the Canon battery, and when you add the ability to charge two at once, this seems like a pretty nice upgrade. Again I will update this review if I have more information, or if the batteries suddenly die or create a black hole or summon demons or something, but as of now I have to recommend this product as an upgraded charger with 2 extra improved batteries. I’ve owned a Canon Rebel T3i since about 2013. The last 4-5 years though, I haven’t been using it much. My family has been using it here and there taking it on trips etc etc. We ended up losing the original charger for the battery pack. I needed my canon recently for my small business. Since my camera is a little dated it’s extremely hard to find an original canon charger for it. Not even my local Best Buy had it. Luckily I found this on Amazon! AND IT WORKS!!! Now I’m not going to lie, the first time I put the battery pack in to charge. It worked fine it was perfect. But it was really hard to take it out. But I ended up being able to take it out. Nothing was damaged it worked fine. I’m guessing maybe it was just a one time thing. I charged the battery again for a second time and it was easy to take out of the charger. Like butter. Also, in terms of battery life. I remember my canon used to have a longer battery life. But I’m assuming maybe it’s because it’s an old camera, and I accidentally left it on all night. So it might have been because of those two factors that I saw the battery life to be short. But it’s nothing crazy and like I said it was most likely my fault that the battery life seemed short. This was a way cheaper alternative than buying a $50 battery charger from Canon. Thank you so much. Highly recommend. Again my camera is a Canon Rebel T3i and it was compatible!

Good item, fits the description and arrived on time. Amps are actually higher that 1200mA, mine state 1500mAh which is nice. Charger is good and fits other brands as well, and charges them fine. Good value for money.

I ordered this as a replacement for my Canon Rebel T3i charger and it worked exactly as described — charged my LP-E8 battery quickly and felt sturdy. I ended up finding my original charger, so I’ll be returning this one, but if you’re in need of a backup or replacement, this is a great option.
