I previously reviewed this kit. I have learned a few things since that review. I really wanted rings of various sizes. I got that. I wanted a tool to make it easier especially on the smaller sizes. I got that, however the tool makes use of the larger size rings easier. I have received a few blood blisters for this tool. It may be my problem and not the tools fault. But beware there are pinch points. The tool is not great for the smallest sizes as the inner diameter of the rings barely allow the tool to work. It works but not easily. I have found once the tool is used it is very common the rings do not return to the same shape. They retain some deformation spread. They may be rust proof and saltwater proof; I don't know. I do know they are not like Victorinox rings or similar which can be attached and detached many times and retain the original shape. These are probably just what fishermen need. I expect many will highly appreciate the kit.

Rings work, smaller so not for big game. Pliers seem cheap, loose hinge and teeth did not line up.

The split rings seem great. The pliers that came with are not the best. But I also got a "nice" split ring/fishing pliers at the same time. So this cheap set will stay in my tackle making kit for a spare when making tackle.
