Great bed base for the price!
I just got this bed base yesterday and I'm giving it 5 stars at this point. If anything changes, I will edit my review. I was a little skeptical after reading some low star ratings, but for the price I was willing to take the chance. It looked like the parts could easily be replaced if needed and there is a 3 year warranty on the bed. I called customer service at 877-707-7533 and it is a working phone number for Classic Brands so I felt pretty confident. As with anything ordered on the internet, you take a chance. Also, if there are electronic components or motors I am not surprised if something malfunctions.Review: I really like this bed base for the price (Queen was $496.07 with tax and free delivery) and I researched a lot of them. Being able to adjust the head and foot positions is truly a luxury that everyone should enjoy. It adds the ability to be comfortable for sleeping, watching TV, meditating, typing an Amazon review, etc. The other plus was being able to remove my Queen panel bed headboard and frame. I have a small bedroom right now and I think I gained about 1 foot of space at the foot and 4 inches on either side of the bed. We placed the bed base about 1 inch from the wall. Granted it's not a wall hugger model, but the price was right. I previously bought a bed base with a mattress from a mattress store that only had head incline and I paid more for that 6 months ago. That bed base went into the guest room and this is the replacement. The reason that I chose to be economical is because I really want to replace my queen size bed with a split king size bed. Since that will be very expensive, I decided to do this first and this will become a guest bed in the future (a very nice one for a guest!). The bed base was delivered in the window that was set. The box was in great shape and I chose to have the box delivered to the room of my choice (no additional charge) and asked the delivery people to place the box in my hallway upstairs. My boyfriend is much stronger than me so he took charge of putting it together. Normally, I handle mechanical assembly, but I was cooking dinner. He had the bed frame together in less than an hour which tells me that the instructions were very good. The only thing he said is that it is very heavy. I helped turn the bed over and place it in position, but I don't see that as a negative. I want a solid piece of furniture that is going to hold around 300 pounds (two people).Remote: 1) I'm noticing that the "Head Up" button sometimes takes a harder push, but I'll just request a new remote if it becomes a hassle, but I'm finding it difficult to search for replacement wireless remote. I can probably find a control box and wireless remote combination eventually. 2) I got a manual that was for a different control box used in my bed base. The instructions say to press and hold the red reset button to program the Zero-G, TV/PC, and Lounge button on the remote, but I don't have this button. I googled program Classic Brands wireless remote and found that my "gray" control box is programmed differently. It's actually, much simpler to program the remote with this control box. All I had to do was get the bed in the position that I wanted and hold down the button to be programmed plus the "flat" button at the same time. I heard a beep and I was set.USB built-in: Nice feature! I plugged my phone into one of the 2 USBs and placed the phone on my night stand. I think a pouch on the side of the bed would be nice to store the phone, remote, and/or tablet, but I can customize something and place it where I want.Massage: I didn't buy this bed for the massage feature and knew that I would probably dislike it and I did. Some people will like the vibration feature and that's exactly what it is. I find it very annoying and I can hear it vibrating downstairs which is actually kinda funny. It reminds me of the vibrating hotel beds from the 70s, but I'm sure some people will love this feature.Adjustable Legs: Nice feature! We have it on the highest level, but will probably take it down because it's much more comfortable to watch TV while looking slightly up. I have my TV mounted a little higher and tilted down so that I don't have to tilt my head forward to be inline with it.Bottom line: This is a good price for an adjustable bed base with many features. If you are resourceful in Googling issues that arise you will be fine. In all honesty, I figured I would just buy a replacement motor after the warranty if needed. These bases are really not all that technical and they have linear motors that I can probably find on eBay, Amazon, or a compatible replacement.

Super Quality, Super Customer Service at a Bargain Price!
I bought this bed after having shoulder surgeries on the right and left as well as neck surgery. I could not bear weight on my arms to lift myself off the mattress and I could not but any strain on my neck to lift my head off the mattress. I did some research and the only other brand I considered was the Leggett and Platt Prodigy with the Pillow lift. The other reason I considered the Leggett and Platt was for the wall hugging function.Honestly, I don't think paying an extra $2000 for the Leggett and Platt features are worth it. This bed performs extremely well, smooth and quiet. I have a 14 inch Cool Gel Memory Foam mattress (also from Classic Brands) on this bed. The Leggett and Platt also has a feature that does not require the bars a the foot of the bed. They utilize heavy velcro to keep the mattress in place. I believe that if you place a thicker mattress on these beds, you will be happier with the bars at the foot of the bed to keep the mattress in place. The great thing about making the bed is that I can lift the head of the bed and place the sheet on and then lower the head and lift the foot of the bed to complete placing the sheet. No bending over to tuck. Once I place it in the flat position, the sheet stretches itself on the bed. I have this bed inside an enclosed frame and it functions perfectly. This bed was very easy to assemble but you will need two people for the weight. I bought the king size not split because I sleep alone and I did not want to be bothered with a "lump" in the middle from two twin mattresses. I would definitely suggest getting a split king if there are two people in the bed sleeping. The massage function is sufficient. It is very quiet and honestly, it lulls me to sleep. It can be switched on for the head, foot or both and I usually only use it on the foot of the bed because I don't want vibration in my ear when I'm trying to sleep. There are three levels of vibration. I have a thicker mattress and I would imagine that a thinner mattress like a 10 inch would probably have more vibration. Nonetheless, it is very comforting in my case.I am not enamored with the quality of the remote but it does have a lighted screen that automatically turns off. It is wireless and uses blue tooth to connect to the bed control. The screen stopped working and I emailed Classic Brands. They responded to me on the same day and sent another remote (and box) out immediately. I was shocked at how quickly they responded! Extremely Excellent Customer Service. In retrospect, I am very happy that I did not buy the Leggett and Platt but I think I would have been just as happy with a thinner mattress like the 10 inch instead of spending the extra money for the 14 inch. The thicker mattress doesn't really seem to add anything other than height to the bed.I wish I had considered buying one of these years ago. This price is AMAZING! I have compared with other sites and in brick and mortar outlets (Sears for one) and this is by far outstanding quality for the price.

Pretty great for the price!
Had it for about a week now and use it with my existing memory foam mattress. I love it - it's great for watching TV/eating/lazing.Delivery was pain free - the package tracking from the company was a bit confusing but as it got closer, they called to schedule delivery, which is great. It's garage/front door drop off though - I tried to see if they would take it upstairs for a tip but they weren't interested. The package is SERIOUSLY heavy. But after opening it up, the frame is in two pieces that I could barely manage to take up the stairs by myself (I'm reasonably/not overly strong).Assembly was straightforward. As others have said, one half had bolt holes that were a bit tight, but it wasn't ridiculously bad - doable with the allen key provided. I left on the longest legs, and it's a bit tall, but I'm too lazy to remove the longer legs and having the extra height for the blankets to not hit the floor is nice (and maybe I can store things under the bed)The wireless remote feels a bit cheap but seems solid and is very functional (backlit buttons would be nice). I haven't tried the integrated USB charger on the side of the bedframe yet. I've been wanting an adjustable bed for a while and came across this one by chance. I'm very happy with its value.Update: 2 years in, the controller malfunctioned. It was still under warranty and customer support sent a new control box pretty quickly. Happy with the level of support.
