Great value and simple to use.
I have been using this for a few months now. It's simple. I don't try to put too Uchida pressure on it. The bricks come away from the mold very easily. I gave a large plastic bucket, a plaster mixer and drill and I use half shredded paper and sawdust. Mixed together with water. Give it a good mix and then scoop out the mixture into the mold. Press the levers down. Don't try to overfill it. Then take the top bit off slide tge brick out and set it down somewhere to dry. It may take about a month to dry out. It will be very light when done a hold together reasonably so don't throw them around. They do need a log next to them to burn efficiency but they are free assuming the paper and sawdust didn't cost you anything and you made them in your own time. It's a great way ti tidy up the workshop and office!

Does the job
I found this very good. I have a lot of boxes and paper far to much to use on the log burner by it self. I used my red trug bucket and ripped all my paper and cardboard in to small bits and added water just enough to cover. I then put some of the wet paper bits and cardboard in to my nuti bullet and added extra water and blitz it to a pulp. I then pour it in to the press. I pressed it down by hand first then used the machine to press the excess water out. Work very well. The trick is not to be to heavy handed. Brilliant. I made 4 today. They are now drying on my cake drying rack. Will be making more tomorrow.

Not that bad
Gets the job done but could do with being a lot more sturdy.

bendy!!
It works but does bend as not sturdy enough, basically a poor design keep having to use a mallet to reshape it as it bends during use, thicker metal would help but supporting struts properly placed would improve it immensely

So far so good
The media could not be loaded. I’ve made quite bricks and it’s been fairly easy going. My five-year-old daughter enjoyed doing this with me so it’s quite fun in that respect. Out of all these bricks you see ,we had three black bags worth of shredding, We let the paper soak for a couple of hours before compressing it. The machine is okay a little bit hard on your hands when you have to squash the water out, but seems good so far. Ultimately, we won’t know until we start burning them in the winter but it feels like a really good way to reuse shredded paper.

Weak and don't work well
Tried a few different methods. Wet news paper, wet cardboard, sawdust. It just about compresses the paper then starts to unfold. Sawdust works best although after the first 2 uses it just bent out of shape

well made
I have been using it since it arrived to test out my skill of making the briquettes, i made five quite quickly, they seem to be sturdy enough. recommend.
