Review: Another One of the Greatest Books, I have Ever Read!!! - Now that I just finished this other Great Book of David's, I can't wait to apply it Now!!!, to get Ahead Financially than where I am Now!!! 😃👏👏👏👍 Review: Great book for ANYONE of ANY age... - This has to be one of the best books I have ever read, coming from someone that was taught little-to-nothing of financial responsibility. Not only is the content invaluable to anyone, but it motivates you to DO SOMTHING with your life and gives you a direction to start for success. Do not be mistaken; this is not a book with "all of the answers" but is aimed more toward motivation and personal financial success/retirement planning. David Bach has many variants of this book and I was originally handed Smart Couples Finish Rich when previously married and in debt up to my eyeballs by a financial advisor. In the past 10 years since reading that book, I now have retirement planning started, little to no debt, and am planning for my financial future/success. It was one that changed my life and I have since passed it on. I recently purchased this variant to refresh my direction now that life is different and will continue to recommend it after reading it cover to cover again. It's even a great reference later when you need it. I passed my Smart Couples Finish Rich to a family member in need of said motivation (they also were never financially responsible) and spread the word! GET THIS BOOK! This edition at time of purchase was written in 2004, so most of it is up-to-date. Shipping was fast and decently packaged. It's also hard cover if so ordered (recommended).

Great Info ages 25-40
I purchased the Start Late, Finish Rich: A No-Fail Plan for Achieving Financial Freedom at Any Age (Finish Rich Book Series) for myself from Amazon. I read the book and was looking for David Bach’s expertise on how to save a little more money for retirement age. I figured if anyone had some great ideas it would be a well-known financial speaker such as him. I felt the book was a good and easy read and David is a great motivator of trying to help people succeed. I am in my fifties now and I do believe that much of the advice that is given would help people forty years and older. Much of the advice he gave I was implementing such as put all that you can up to the max in your 401K and spend less on the things you don’t need. For people with credit card debt the chapter on it is very important on how to get rid of debt and takes you thru step by step in the process. I liked the chapter about a file and organization system for your financial files. In conclusion I liked the book but definitely think some of the advice that was given would benefit people between 25-40 years old. There is a wealth of info on how to really get a great head start on retirement saving. I purchased the book for my son in hopes of him gaining insight on different ways to safe for later in life and to get motivated to save today.

I am 65 and benefiting from David Bach's books
In almost all of David Bach's books, he describes a file system for your financial files. I had a file system. But when the file cabinet broke, and after I started putting my important papers in folders in boxes, and then they filled up and I left them on top of a table... the paper fire hazard finally had to be dealt with. Although I didn't follow his system literally, it inspired me to scan all this rubble and organize it in my computer (about 1 month of effort). The very personal files (those with Social Security numbers and account numbers) are stored on my Iron Key. The paper in the living room is nearly gone by now, and I can find my documents all the way back to 2004 instantly and easily. If you are young, any of David Bach's books will be helpful regardless of their title. You are never too young to start saving, and he has great advice on how much, how and when to do this. Goals such as retirement and college are important. But if you just start building your financial portfolio as early as you can, you almost won't need to worry about the goals - the money will be there when you need it. David Bach also helps you to differentiate need from want, and identifies what "wants" waste your hard earned money. I recommend the Finish Rich series for everyone, young and old alike. These books are must haves!

Start Late, Finish Rich
This remarkable book is no 1 USA Today, Business Week, New York Time and Wall Street Journal bestseller. No matter who you are or what your income is, you can benefit from this easy-to-apply program. When you do it David Bach's way, failure is not an option. Even if you're in your thirties, forties, fifties - even your sixties and beyond, you 've still got an opportunity to put your life on the right track financially and stop worrying about the future. To save is not a sprint. It is a marathon. You need to build up gradually. You've got to start slowly. You need to keep it simple. A lot of people didn't do anything because they believe that the cost of taking care of their families too high and their incomes too low. In this book, David Bach teaches you how to transform your dreams into reality and fulfill your desires for financial freedom. It consists of 5 parts and contains topics such as: how to transform your debt into wealth; how to get rich in real estate in the weekends; how to start a home-based business and increase your income on the side; how to use Bach's simple "Perfect Pie Approach" to wealth - so that you catch up getting rich without too much risk; why your dreams don'tn have deadlines; and above all, it includes dozens of stories of real people who started late and are living rich now. If they can do it, you can too. Digest this book and you will have no problem achieving financial freedom at any age.

Some good stuff, but a whole lot of filler
About 25% of this book is good, solid guidance. The rest is a lot of fluff and filler in the form of anecdotes and pep talks that were likely included to pad the page count and make it feel like a longer book. I was planning to give it two stars, but there IS an entire chapter at the end about the value of giving back through volunteering, donating, and otherwise being a good citizen of the world with the wealth you are hopefully beginning to create as a result of the book’s suggested actions. So I give a third star for the author’s inclusion of this topic, and writing an entire chapter on the topic instead of just a few short lines. P.S. Some of the advice is now dated, as the book was written in 2004. Not necessarily wrong, just dated, so be sure to do your research on current best practices as well.

I'm not new to this...but wow
I've been working on debt for a while, I track my credit scores religously, participate in 401k...yada yada yada. However, in one day...using techniques described in this book, I recovered a $39 fee (over 3X the cost of the book). It also helped me look into my AMEX accounts and they were able to move me from 29% Intro APR to a 5.5% APR, saving me roughly $200 per month. This took all of 15 minutes out of my day. I read a lot of books on this topic and follow advise when it makes sense. David's book was still an eye opener and worth 10X the cost of the book. The above changes are going to snowball and help me eliminate some debt much faster and allow me to save much more aggressively. Thank you David!

Phenominally comprehensive!
This book is so packed with practical, useful information and recommendations that there is nothing else to compare it to. I know of multi-thousand-dollar financial seminars that don't provide half of the financial education this book provides. I am far from a novice, and this book taught me a lot. This book covers everything from very simple (and yet quite good) fund investment strategies which take very little time, to in-depth understanding of the direct and indirect tax benefits of real estate investing. Perhaps the most important thing about this book is that the author is so well versed in the subject and so generous at the same time. This book is not written as a teaser for some follow-up multi-thousand-dollar seminar. It has all the info in it, for less than $20!

Useful
It's the 4th book from David Bach that I buy. It's very easy to read and understand it. A few of the tips are just related to USA but most of them have an european version and are very useful to manage your finances on the smartest and fastest way.

An Excellent Book for the late risers in life
An Excellent Book for the late risers in life, who feel that they've missed the train of Savings and Investing in their earlier years, and who nevertheless have not yet given up! It's their last chance to become Millionaires! Read every piece of Advice, which is worth it's weight in GOLD! An Excellent Plan to end up Rich, in-spite of starting late in life, as the name suggests! Bravo David!

otherwise it is a good read.
The author's examples are all concerning Americans. Some of his articles probably alright but a reader from other country needs to see the relevance to their situation, otherwise it is a good read.
