I'm just thrilled with these super scissors. I had previously purchased the larger ones and loved them so much because of their versatility and the fact that they actually WORKED and did any job I wanted them to do. I was just browsing on Amazon's website, as I so often do, and ran across these scissors. They're the same quality as the larger scissors but they're just a little smaller. I liked them so much and Amazon had them at such a good price that I bought several pair and replaced all of my "office" type scissors that I had accumulated over the years... None of which were cutting nicely anymore, were bent, and did not come apart like these babies do. I doubt I'll ever have to buy more scissors again unless of course I lose them somehow (like maybe a good friend just accidentally tucked them in her purse when she was visiting). The larger scissors are excellent at cutting right through chicken bones and such but these smaller ones allow me to do more delicate work such as snipping herbs and removing white fat from raw chicken, pork & beef plus they come apart and become knife blades just like the bigger ones do.... And go right in the dishwasher for cleaning. No more cheap office-type scissors for me!

These by far are the best poultry shears i have gotten up to this point, and hopefully the last. They are razor sharp and well made. I was going to order a pair for my mom but I just do not think her dainty hands would be able to squeeze them. They have definitely saved me some time in the kitchen. It is a bit of a task to cut through the bone but not because of the blades, because you really need to squeeze. I do not recommend these if you have no hand strength. Overall, they really are worth every cent. I am pleased and believe with proper cleaning and storage, i will have these for a long time. I soak them in hot bleach water to kill any bacteria then use a sponge to clean them. I have not tried to put them in the dishwasher as i do not put any of my expensive cutlery in there. I am sure you will be happy with these.

Extremely sharp scissors capable of making quick work of herbs, greens, and such. But not super-heavy-duty "kitchen shears" that you'd want to use to open packaging and cut through poultry carcasses. Know your use - if your needs are more chef-like, then these are a great choice. But if your needs are "I need some tough damn scissors for my kitchen" - then you might want to look elsewhere.The paring knife came less-than-sharp, but it took a good edge with a little work. I only bought the kit for the scissors which was (at the time I purchased) cheaper than buying the scissors alone, so the paring knife isn't a make-or-break deal for me.I'd buy the scissors again.

I worry about surface contamination when I clean meat products. So I prepare the area where I'm working with meat thoroughly. But it was exhausting and took all the fun out of cooking meats.I have used poultry shears before and was unimpressed. So thought of looking for some good ones and buying it whatever the price may be. And I did, with these shears!!!!!!!Now, I place the poultry in a deep dish and chop it up without worrying about splattering and chasing slipping and sliding meat everywhere. Its a little large for my hands. So it takes some adjustment while chopping. But so does using a knife.I'm happy with the shears. The shears are sturdy, artistically constructed, sharp, looks like it has been passed down over generations and makes me proud to have had the good sense to buy it.

Quality kitchen Shears!I was looking for a good kitchen shear that is sharp and cuts easily and smoothly, even on bones and can be separated to make it easier on cleaning. This scissor met my expectations!I've used this to cut anything that was difficult to cut with just a knife, like chicken bones and cartilages. I've used it often for over 2 years now and it is still as sharp as it was when I first got it. I also use it to open bottles. Not sure how often you use use the flat blade ends as a screwdriver, but nevertheless it's a nifty multi-tool in one.I highly recommend it for those looking for a pair of kitchen shears that are sharp and can be taken apart.

Great scissors. Solid and sharp. The only thing I don’t like is they come apart a bit too easily.

I like it. Cut and halved a hen easily. Big springy shears, so if you let slip - they will pop open.Nice and sharp!
