Petilleur Automatic Fish Feeder Fish Food Dispenser for Fish Tank Aquarium

Good price & works well. Not easy to set up it's a little confusing. but is doing a good job on my 55 Gal. tank. A hooded tank has a wide section on the top that prohibits attaching on the side in the back of the tank so suction cups are useless. The dispenser doesn't dump straight down it dumps to the side all the way down. My solution was to super glue some clothespins to the top of the tank & attaching a thin sheet of plastic as a shield so as it dropped food it would slide into the tank rather than fall to the outside of the tank. I attached the dispenser to clothespins originally pointing to end of the tank then later attached clothespins to the edge of the end of the tank so I could access it better to refill etc. The only way I could see to attach to the back of the hooded tank that has the black plastic border support around tank & supporting the hood was to build something to attach the dispenser too. It could be attached to the front of the tank under the hood doors but the doors would be held up & open allowing fish to jump out. or doors to bind dispenser. I like that it turns back to upright position keeping the food dry. & I can adjust how much food drops & once or twice or a manual drop. I also like that it can drop LG flakes & shrimp pellets & holds an LG amount of food lasting a long time. I suffered a stroke b4 I could set it up & became paralyzed on the left side. Sorry, it took so long to be able to give a review.

So the feeder will do well with light weight fish flakes. But when you use it for Turtle pellets it will not stay where you want it. There are no detent stops. At least mine did not have them. When the feeder rotated it would allow the metering wheel to move and allow way too much food out. So, I returned it. But with light weight flakes it would probably work great. But for turtle food; no so much.

Dont waste your money. The suction cup mounts that it comes with will never work. The food reservoir is to large and when it rotates it hits the glass and in sticks the mount. Very poor design. Avoid!

I got this for my mom and she says she really loves it, but when I looked at it myself, I was confused why she was using a pencil to hold it up. Basically, what she likes about it is that you can really choose how much food your fish get, that it makes a noise before it disperses the food so the fish know it’s coming, and that its timing is really reliable. Back to the pencil though—it attaches to the side of the tank with a piece of plastic and then plastic screws that you screw until it’s “tight” except that because it’s plastic, the plastic starts to come out and it never actually gets tight. Because of that, the feeder itself dips into the water because of its size and weight. I think that’s really disappointing, but my mom swears the pros outweigh that con. I’m sure there’s something more attractive you could use instead of a pencil, I just don’t think you should have to. Decide for yourself, one of us would recommend and the other would not.

This works great and is reliable. I like that there is a manual feed option. I like the amount of food this dispenses and the control it gives you over the quantity. So far this has been reliable and the fish seem very happy to be getting fed on a more consistent schedule.

This has been great for making sure my betta gets fed on schedule.It holds a great amount of food and I have snails to clean up anything extra
