It is reinforced for increased sturdiness, and is great for daily wear as sun shade, as a gardening hat, for costumes, as a handheld fan, as a storage basket to carry lightweight items, or as home decoration. The hat measures approximately 16.5 inch in diameter, and approximately 8 inch tall. The strap is adjustable to fit different head sizes. Looks just like the ones I saw in Vietnam
I recently traveled to Vietnam and had no practical way to get one of these hats home but I loved them. I found this one on line and it is just like the ones sold there. No one would know I purchased it once back in the states.
