6 Sky Lanterns - White

We bought this for my daughter's "Tangled" birthday party.It is a great idea and works well, however, there are some things to watch out for.There has to be almost zero wind or it will get away from you. We tied a string to the lantern so we could control it but the first one broke because the flame burn it. We tied another string on and it worked but due to a mild wind we had to walk with the lantern or it would go up. Adults only should do this because of the flame. You also need a very large field, you don't want this to land on a roof or get caught in a tree. Even when they come down the flame is still lit, so you don't want this to land on a dry field. It takes two adults to work. The best idea would be over the ocean but there is almost always a wind so no good there. A lake would be good but you would want to collect them when they land. Great idea and looks cool but need to be very cautious and you are very limited when you can launch them due to wind. We did it in a large wet field and had fire extinguisher on hand. Everything went well but have to be careful.

I bought these lanterns for a birthday party in the foothills which made for an amazing backdrop in setting the scene. Each family member held onto a corner, made a wish and released the lantern. It was an amazing sight and the highlight of the evening. It provided a truly magical moment! As a side-note, the party host was quite concerned about the safety of the lanterns that they might land in dry brush and start a fire - it was a little windy and they floated quite a distance away from us, but thankfully, the fire died out and all was well, and there were no reports of grass fires in the news the next day -- thank goodness!

Easy to use, incredibly thin paper- hold it steady or they may catch on fire prior to lifting off.

What a beautiful way to end the Holiday! The kids were absolutely mesmerized by the beautiful lights in the sky. Neighbors came out to see what was going on . These lamps were not only beautiful, but safe and easy to launch. A night to remember by all.

We bought these to celebrate my granddaughter's third birthday. She loved them so much, we will be doing them again this year and also for our other grandchildren....be sure to take time to open them carefully.

junk nothing to hold it together

They are bigger then I thought they would be but not anything crazy. I can say they are a little hard to open up and I did rip one but you have to be careful.

The picture of this product shows an image from "the Original Sky Lantern", but these are crap that appear to be directly from China. We tried 2 and they failed horribly; they never rose up, instead they sank quickly and landed in the lake. We have used other sky lanterns from the Original Sky Lantern company and have had phenomenal success, however, these were really bad. Everything from the packaging to the product have poor quality written all over it!
