Sufix 75 Yard Performance Ice Braid Fishing Line - Glacier Blue

Been using the Sufix ice braid 10 lb for two seasons. It is a very strong, practically no stretch line, that allows a really good "feel" for jigging and a very positive hook set. Fish for lake trout a lot, sometimes in water as deep as 140 feet. The usual 50 yards spools are not really enough, the 75 yard spools are perfect. Still using line from two seasons on other reels, there seems to be no deterioration to this point. Purchased more to change all of my ice fishing reels over to Sufix. I was using Fireline Ice, which is also very good but on 50 yard spools.Does it ice up? Well yes as does all line but, like the Fireline ice, much less so then any conventional line. What ice that does build up gets cleaned right off when reeling in. Great line!

Excellent Quality

I use this on all of my Mackinaw rods. I like the suffix 832 a little better, but it doesn't come in 75 yd spools. I fish in up to 100' depths and large fish will take line after hook up so I need the extra length. The line has never failed and performs well in cold temps. Seems to absorb slightly more water than the 832 causing a little more ice build up on the guides, hence the 4 stars.

Who doesn’t like braided line? And an ice braid that helps the line not freeze! Can you say bonus! Not super great for anything deeper than about 40 to 50 feet. If you catch anything big, that’s gonna pull the line then you might want to fish a little bit shallower. I totally recommend this line for ice fishing or for fishing line for survival kits.

Good line. I have the 10 LB line (4LB mono dia) on light & medium action jig rods and the 20 LB(8LB mono Dia) on a Med. Heavy & Heavy jig rods.75 yard spool barely fits on the Berkley reels that the heritage & Lightning rods come with.
