NO WAY OUT 2005
NO WAY OUT 2005 REVIEW I’ll admit it; I’m a sucker for any WWE DVD. So when I came across this one for a bargain, I picked it up. I’m a fairly new fan, so I had never seen nor heard of any of these matches. Based on the reviews, I didn’t expect much. In fact I almost anticipated a letdown, but I was pleasantly surprised with the final product. Here is my match-by-match review of No Way Out 2005.Under *- Almost unwatchable*- Poor**- Mediocre** ½- Average***- Solid*** ½ - Very Good****- Great**** ½ - “Match of the Year” quality*****- Instant ClassicMatch 1- Rey Mysterio & Eddie Guerrero VS the Basham Brothers Even though I haven’t a clue who the “Basham Brothers” are, they seemed like a good match for Eddie and Rey. After about 10 minutes of Mysterio being pretty much dominated, Eddie found a way to swindle his team to a victory. Nothing special, but a solid opener, and it was nice to see Eddie Guerrero lying, cheating and stealing again. R.I.P Eddie. RATING- ***Match 2- Booker T VS Heidenreich This actually could have been another solid match, if it went a little longer. Some nice brawling until Heidenreich hits Booker T with a steel chair, ending the match by DQ after only 6 minutes. UGH. RATING- *Match 3- Six Man Elimination Match for the Cruiserweight Title For a bout lasting a little fewer than ten minutes, this contest sure had a lot of action. From the instant it started, it didn’t slow down until Chavo Guerrero won the championship. Plenty of high flying moments and some good spots; overall it was a good, solid match. RATING- ***Match 4- Undertaker VS Luther Reigns Sadly, Luther Reigns is NOT Roman Reigns’ long lost brother. Instead, he’s some jobber that didn’t deserve to be in the same ring as an all-time great like the Deadman. ‘Taker carried the whole match, and it was apparent. After a decent 11 minutes, Undertaker tombstoned Luther and got the pinfall victory. I only recommend this bout to a big time ‘Taker fan like me. RATING- **Match 5- John Cena VS Kurt Angle #1 Contender Match (Match of the Night) Back before Cena was unanimously hated, he was the fan-favorite, street fighting rapper that wasn’t invincible. This bout showcases the skills of both talented superstars, Cena especially. Mix in some drama, a heaping dose of technical wrestling and a pinch of brawling and you have a recipe for a fantastic contest. RATING- **** ½Match 6- Barbed Wire Steel Cage Match for the WWE Championship- JBL VS Big Show Wow. What a chaotic bloodbath. Both men get busted wide open early on, and then they proceed to maul each other for 15 minutes. A definite OMG moment towards the end, but I won’t spoil it for you. All I can say is that JBL retains his belt in a in a way only he can. RATING- ****Overall, I would certainly recommend this to any fan of TV-14 WWE. A good, high quality PPV.

What? What?? WHAT???
Stone Cold Steve Austin makes his return after a 7-month exile from the WWE. Eric Bischoff, the General Manager of RAW, attempts to sign Stone Cold on RAW in order not to be fired in 30 days. A good PPV! These are the matches: Chris Jericho Vs. Jeff Hardy (5/10) A good opener! World Tag Team Championship RVD & Kane VS. William Regal & Lance Storm (4/10) WWE Crusierweight Championship Billy Kidman VS. Matt Hardy (w/Shannon Moore) (4.5/10) SIX-MAN TAG TEAM MATCH Brock Lesnar, Chris Benoit and Edge Vs. Team Angle (6/10) Despite Team Angle got rid of Edge before the match, Brock and Benoit did a great job! UNDERTAKER VS. BIG SHOW (W/PAUL HEYMAN) (6.5/10) World Heavyweight Championship Scott Steiner Vs. Triple H (W/Ric Fliar, Bastisa and Randy Orton) (2/10) No point in watching this unless you're a Triple H fan. Stone Cold Steve Austin VS. Eric Bischoff (10/10) Everyone who watched Eric Bischoff kicked J.R.'s ass the previous Monday, will be happy to see the rattlesnake kick the crap out of Eric Bischoff. A Texas-sized ass whumping as J.R. tells us at the end of the match. The Rock VS.Hulk Hogan (1.5/10) This is no rematch from last year's WrestleMania. This was sooo against Hulk Hogan it wasn't funny. First, the lights went out and the Refferre is down. Vince McMahon comes to ringside to distract Hogan. Meanwhile, the Refferree pushes the steel chair to The Rock and the rock wins with the help with the chair. After the match, Vince mocks Hogan.

WWE No Way Out 2003 = Final Road to WrestleMania XIX
WWE No Way Out 2003 Match Ratings:1. Chris Jericho vs Jeff Hardy 4/5Have to be honest that even though this was the opening match, I would have to say that is was the best match of the night. As to expect plenty of good in ring wrestling and some great high flying jumps and kicks from Jeff Hardy, who in the end fell to the clutches of the Walls of Jericho, with no choice but to tap out.2. RVD & Kane vs Lance Storm & William Regal (WWE World Tag Team Championship) 3/5Nice little tag team match, with plenty of good tag team work by RVD & Kane who I thought were going to win this match, but sadly they didn't as Kane accidentally hit the Choke slam on his own tag team partner.3. Billy Kidman vs Matt Hardy (WWE Cruiserweight Championship)3/5Here we have a good match for the Cruiserweight Championship and have to say that the finish off a Twist of Fate off the turnbuckle was the eye catch moment of the match to see Matt Hardy becoming the new WWE Cruiserweight Champion.4. Undertaker vs Big Show 3/5Pretty good match between Taker & Big Show, with some good in ring and out ring action and in my opinion one of their better matches.5. Chris Benoit & Brock Lesnar vs Team Angle 4/5My second favourite match of the night with this being a really great match, with pretty much back and forth action from both teams.6. Scott Steiner vs Triple H II (World Heavyweight Championship) 3/5Not a bad match for the World Heavyweight Championship and have to say that it weren't bad for what people make it out to be as it was a rather enjoyable match between Big Poppa Pump & The Game.7. Stone Cold Steve Austin vs Eric Bischoff 3/5Though this match was short, though in my opinion great to see Eric Bischoff getting his ass whooped by a man who hates him very much e.g. Stone Cold Steve Austin.8. The Rock vs Hulk Hogan II 3/5Not as good as the match they had at WrestleMania X8, but this match did have it's moments of being a decent main event. The ending was quite shocking as Mr McMahon screwed over Hogan, so that the Rock could pick up the victory.

Great simply for the last sensational match
ECW championship - Chavo Guerrero vs CM punkA good match with good build up. It seems strange to see Punk as a fan favourite but a good energetic match 7/10World Heavyweight championship - Edge vs Rey MysterioAs talented as he is it can sometimes be hard to take Mysterio seriously. The build up story to this was rather daft and the fact the match finishes almost carbon copy to the Rumble match sums it up. 5/10Smackdown elimination chamberTwo of the greatest athletes ever in Batista and Undertaker start off the match and other `superstars' in Finlay, MVP, the great Khali and Big Daddy V enter. Easy to tell who the final to will be but what a finale and oh my word what a fantastic finishing manoeuvre! Just for that this is worth an 8/10Ric Flair vs Mr KennedyGood match, Mr Kennedy (Or Anderson on TNA) is a brilliant mic worker and great athlete and with the prospect that if Flair lost he would retire this boiled some good tension and a great finish. 8/10WWE championship - John Cena vs Randy OrtonWith Cena's big return at the rumble this got the fans excited and a good lengthy match and although I can barely stand Cena he was alright, the ending to this match was so abrupt and funny. 8/10Raw elimination chamberWith a good array of matches behind it No Way Out boiled down to a sensational last match that did include a roster of all respectable stars in Jeff Hardy, JBL, Y2J, HHH, Umaga and HBK and despite my accidental stumbling on the result, you could not guess who would win this. Fantastic moves, fast and slow paced, bodies hitting steel, a swanton off a pod a bloody collection of bodies, this was easily match of the night. 10/10A good pay per view, entertaining though not classic but if anything at a cheap price I would buy simply for that last Raw chamber match.7/10

not bad hey
The final event before wrestlemania 21 was an all smackdown brand affair and it wasnt that bad,it was let down by some shockingly average matches that would have still looked out of place on thursday night smackdown but there were some matches that deserved special praise. The event opened with the WWE tag team titles up for grabs as the champions rey mysterio and eddie guerrero went up against the basham brothers. My first thought was that the bashams would mess this match up but they did well, eddie and rey of course worked perfectly and created what can be viewed as an innovative, well structured and well paced match that had some comical moments but also retained a good level of quality.Heidenreich fought booker T next in a match that no one wanted to see, there wasnt much hype going into this and this is not a match worthy of a pay per view, the ending was lame and there is nothing more to say other than avoid like the plague,a real disgrace, whoever booked this match should come on television and apologise to us all. There was a 6 man elimination match for the crusierweight title next and the men featured included the champion at the time funaki, along with shannon moore, spike, paul london, akio and chavo guerrero. This match was good but slighly rushed, there was plenty of quality shown and a real desire to win, there werent too many cheap falls and the entertainment value was maintained. The undertaker went up against luther reigns next, the crowd werent that happy with this as they felt,as i did, that the winner was never in doubt. This match was sluggish and went on longer than necessary, luther was well out of his depth but the undertaker carried him well at times so at least he made a fist of it in places, the undertaker wasnt perfect either though as he fluffed a few punches and oversold the odd move, two men that didnt work together then,ah well.John cena fought kurt angle next in a very solid match, both men shared alot of ringtime in 2005 and this wasnt the best of the bunch but it had lots of endurance and clever moves and both men showcased their undoubted talents very well, hard to seperate the two in the end but their was one winner and that man deserves credit,a fitting tribute to the WWE and the smackdown brand at that juncture. The main event was next, the WWE championship was the prize, the champion,JBL had it all to do against the big show in a barbed wire steel cage match.I must state though, that those bloodhounds looking for skin being torn from the bone by barbed wire may feel cheated as it hardly features, that is a shame but what can we do,there is still blood and some bad intentions showcased and a will to win that defies logic at times, this was a good match, not a classic but the ending contains a genuinely brilliant moment that will be talked about forever perhaps,i was happy enough with this event for the most part so three stars is a good rating.

WWE No Way Out 2008 :)
After an exciting Royal Rumble at Madison Squares Garden, we head over to Las Vegas to continue the road to Wrestlemania XXIV (24) for No Way Out.We have two great Elimination Chambers matches guaranteeing the winners of both a WWE and World Heavyweight Championship match at Wrestlemania XXIV. Both Elimination Chamber matches featured the likes of Batista, Undertaker, Triple H, Shawn Michaels just to name a few but all of these talents showed how brutal the Elimination Chamber can be.

If you smell what the Rock is cooking
Fast delivery. Purchased for my son as part of his collection. He was over the moon when he opened it as it's one of the earlier events. Stone Cold, The Rock, Hulk Hogan to name a few that's on here. A must for true fans.
