Q: what is the difference between #4C copper chestnut and #4C copper brown? I need to find a color to get rid of the GOLD/Metal look I get from 7N7N.

Hi 4C copper chestnut is more burgundy and 4C copper brown is more brown they both dont have so much gold if you want more burgundy go with 4C copper chestnut if you want more brown go with 4C copper brown. What color do you want to go? Please look at the color chart of all the colors that way you can decide what you really like some of the stores here have a sating color chart or google please look at all the colors satin is great and best for grey coverage please let me know what color you are and what color you want also depends on which developer 10 is for more depost 20 will go the color on the box but will lift a little 30 lifts alot if you like darker use 10 developer if you want to go lighter from dark use 20 please look at the color mohagany chestnut it's beautiful my favorite in beauty school hope this helps if not please let me know more Thanks Sherry

Hi- If your hair has never been colored you can get some subtle highlights with the ash blonde. The color will only lift your hair if the hair is virgin. You will also have to use a high volume developer depending how light / dramatic you want the highlights to be.
