Fatwood Fire Starting Sticks Fire Wick Ferro Rod Camping Backpacking

This is a very nice product for quickly getting a fire going. My fire building skills are minimal (I'm learning!), and this product is a great help!

This product works great i was able to get a fire started easily even when it was wet i will probably buy more once i use up what i have.

A very nice little fire starting package for any outdoor hiker or camper. I love it.

There is little reason not to be able to get a fire started with this kit. Like most of Kaeser kitsch they work if you do your part. The sticks are small enuff to fit inside a pathfinder tin that can Nestle inside their kits. Love the bag with fits with it soare inside a helikon tex bushcraft pack pocket. Ferro rod is decent size and scraper has inch measurements (bushcrafting) as well as bottle opener( cold beer) dust works good ontop of birch bark. Two added patches allow for repair of bag.

It came with everything it said it would. The pieces are the perfect size for the fire making kits I've put together for gifts to friends who hike and camp, as well as ones I've made for myself.I have to admit, I have not tried them out yet, but... they are wood. I see no reason to worry they would not work for fire starting.

They are too hard to feather. They kept chipping. A little hard to light because of that. When they do light they work just as kindling should. Each stick lasts about 2-3 minutes. The dust would be better if mixed with magnesium. The fero rod was too short in length to really get a good throw of sparks.

Really good fatwood, somehow I expected it to be bigger!
